Manny Navarro on Jaccuri

Dawson memtioned in his presser there was a package for JB in the semenhole game but didn’t feel the need to use it. Both he and Mario said he would play if needed.

Don’t know if it was mentioned already, but I thought it interesting that manny and the other dude on the show both believe Dawson will be gone, and Dorsey will be the main target.

Not anything sauced, just their entrail reading.
This is the same guy that swore that Manny was being retained and the Mario rumors were bogus. Please disregard everything that comes out of that fat slobs's mouth.

I agree that it's unlikely he's refusing to play.

On your 2nd point. Jaccuri asked to redshirt at the beginning of the season. That automatically made him 3rd string.

We don't know what he can do because we haven't seen him in a game this year. There's no way he could play worse than TVD. I don't want to hear anything about a few throws during the Spring game. His entire future has been judged on a Spring game and 2 starts as a true freshman.

There's something else going on that we don't know. I'm sure we'll find out at the end of the season. I do think he transfers.

It's just such a shame that the staff is letting a really talented player leave the program. For it to get to a point where he is even thinking about transferring, the coaches had to basically say, "Despite all his elite athletic skills, as the HC and OC, we can't develop him."

Let someone like a Kiffin or a Heupel get a hold of Jaccuri and see how he winds up. There will be plenty of CIS tears to fill Hard Rock stadium.

It just amazes me of the stereotypes and double standards we still see today. Jaccuri and Emory both started 2 games as true freshmen. Emory was 8 for 23 against FSU and Jaccuri was 6/13 against Clemson. Nobody is saying Emory can't throw yet that's the label put on Jacurri. It's such a double standard.

For the record, I think both will develop into quality P5 starters. It was just unfair to burn both their redshirts as freshmen, when they wouldn't be realistic starters until year 3-4 in their careers. With a redshirt, that would provide 2-3 years as a starter.
What you are completely ignoring is practice/Spring Games.

Emory by all accounts was highly productive.

I saw JB with my own eyes and he was not.

Yes that's the only difference between a former 5* QB that has been in the Bama system for 3 years and 3* Jacurri who has been in our new offensive system for less than a year. #GoodStuff
According to 247, they were both 4 stars in both the 247 and composite rankings. Milroe was the 14th quarterback in 2021 and Jacurri was 16th in 2022.

There was a lot of talk last year that Jacurri wanted to redshirt because he knew he wasn't ready just yet, but was thrust into a starting position because of injuries and Garcia's uneven play. If the discussions internally and the intention was to redshirt him this year, that's an entirely plausible explanation too. Mario expressed an affinity for him too. I don't think he's leaving. He's likely got as good a position to start here given how bare that room may be next year; leaving and starting over elsewhere doesn't seem to make too much sense.

Hence JB needed the most work behind the scenes.

Hence another reason why you do not play him until the last quarter of the season.

The goal going into this season with Emory and Jacurri was to have two potential viable starting quarterbacks competing for the job next spring.

You guys keep saying this ****. Jaccuri was redshirting this year because they burned his redshirt last year playing him in games like Bethune where he just handed the ball off in the 4th quarter. He wasn't going to burn another year being TVD's backup.

The plan was for him to redshirt this year while TVD had his last year before going to the NFL.

Y'all sleeping on the young man. When he develops, he'll be one of the top QBs. He'll just be on the opposite sideline.

Just look around college football at some of the QBs who have developed. Travis, Penix Jr (My Heisman pick), Nix, Pratt, Daniels, Milroe, Sanders. All weren't that good as freshmen or even sophomores.

I could very well end up being wrong about him. That said, even redshirts play in games with the current rule. Him not playing a single snap seems strange to me.

As well, the few times Ive seen him, he has not looked like a competent QB. Most of the other guys you listed flashed when they were underclassmen. Again, it could happen with JB but I see his path being a lower probably one. We'll see. Moreover, if he does transfer out, I'd be interested to see where he goes. At a minimum, that will tell us what the marketplace thinks of him.

But we’ve seen Emory in games. How can you deny that he was horrible against FSU? 8/23?

I’ve never seen 8/23 in any game.
Obviously 8/23 is terrible no matter how you slice it but he didn't turn the ball over which was his main attribute vs TVD, had 2 TD passes, and it was a tight game.

Had FSU been blowing us out I'd imagine we'd have seen Jacurri.

wasn’t this kid actively recruiting Ny Carr here? Wasn’t that an update in the bank?

There are some really strange and concerning posts on here.

Posters who, simultaneously, find the need to insult the young man for being a raw talent but also can't understand why coaches won't play him. Then also seemingly upset that he is leaving?

If he wants to transfer tell his mom to pick him up and go to a G5 school and continue to suck balls at throwing. It’s players like this that continue to plague this program with their soft ***** antics."

Make this post make sense to me and what Jacurri did to deserve this even if he decided he was leaving? 🤦🏿

This is similar to the Oxymoronic posts I see on the GameDay threads that insult the coaches for continuing to throw the ball when Tyler is playing badly then also get upset when the coaches don't run A 2 minute drill with the SAME player they've been cussing out all game for playing badly.

Yall some crazy MFs Yo.

I don't understand why some of you are so quick to write Jacurri off. Yes, what we've seen wasn't inspiring. But--and a big but--he was a true freshman who was a 3rd stringer who wasn't supposed to see any game action and had the curse and stench of Gattis + Mario's uninspiring offense.

Quite frankly, given what we've seen offensively this year, particularly in terms of the slow-prodding, run dominant offense we're running, Jacurri might be perfect for it. It doesn't really seem like Mario wants some pass-happy offense. He might be perfectly content with a slow, methodical offense that grinds out yards. There isn't a QB in the room more apt to grind yards than Jacurri given that he's physically the most gifted and most apt for that style.

I just want to know if I should give up hope on Jacurri ever playing for Miami lol is that too much to ask

Or it could just be that we don't have good QB's anywhere in the room and that we gave the Freshman a chance because maybe there hasn't been 2 years of live evaluation on him like the others?

I believe Jacurri could be a fine qb in the right place.

He's not Lamar though even though some on here act like it.

It's these same dudes who get their feelings hurt any time there's even a rumor that a kid might transfer. If the kid sucks so bad, why get all bothered about him leaving?
