Manny Diaz New DC

AQM should be salivating about coming back. He has a Dline coach and a attacking defense. A good season and his stock skyrockets.

..seriously check their schedule it's garbage

He played no competition and when he did he got embarrassed (see Ohio state 59-0 big ten championship game last year).

His schedule included 3 consecutive games against teams who's coaches got fired...1 game against a team who's coach had to step down for health reasons (Kill)...and a bowl game against a coach who inherited His team from a drunk...impressive.

All of us love the coach Kool hire. Guess what: Diaz and coach Kool > Aranda and coach Kool.

Porst of the day

until I see Aranda at LSU and Diaz at Miami I have questions about both

Wisconsin played one good offense this year(and really only one great team in alabama)..seriously check their schedule it's garbage

both played bama

wisky gave up 35 points and 500 yards
Miss State gave up 31 points and 380 yards.

eh just one game I get it but that is a true fair comparison is it not?. Both played same competition same year and Diaz didn't only rival wisky's defense but Miss st. performed better

how about
Wisconsin being just as good defensively BEFORE aranda as they were with him?

how about
Utah State being just as good defensively AFTER aranda left?

don't get me wrong, 4 days ago I was all aboard the Aranda train and the guy is good but how great is he really? it's a fair question if the whole board is *****ing about diaz.

He played no competition and when he did he got embarrassed (see Ohio state 59-0 big ten championship game last year).

Also Miami couldn't afford him AND tried to get him so it's not like miami made some huge mistake and passed on the dude.

Richt got the best available guy.

did he get the best guy? no. But with kool, moffit/ivey/anyone but swasey, better athletes, and a softer schedule you would think Diaz would see better results.

If not richt has shown he doesn't mind firing coordinators

And 7 of those 31 pts by Bama were on a punt return for TD.

FWIW:

In 2014, Diaz and Aranda had a common opponent: Illinois.

Illinois scored 28 against Wisconsin, and 18 against Louisiana Tech in a bowl game.

Didn't mean to down vote. Excellent post.

The '16 campaign hasn't even taken a snap yet...and the debate rages about whether or not DC Diaz is a good/bad hire.

Let's just see how 1Q goes before we are ready to start planting flag of "he's awesome" or "he sucks".

HC Richt hired him. He's the CEO. At least for now, end of discussion right?

B/C Richt has an infallible record of hiring coordinators.......

And Saban, Miles, Davis, Harbaugh, Bellicheck, Holmgren, Carrol, et al have perfect records for staff hires?

The point is, and this is an undeniable fact, HC Richt made a decision in his best interest that is fully aligned with winning games and championships at UM.

We are outside the bubble, while he is inside. Until proven otherwise, HC Richt hasn't made a "bad" staff hire yet (in hindsight obviously a few will prove as misses).

Let's be optimistic that the total sum of staff capabilities will be greater than themselves as individuals.

That fullyEricht poster was a troll.
In one of the threads after Richt was hired he said he wanted to "get the ball rollin" with getting the FireRicht campaign underway before he coached his first game......it was too obvious and I believe he got the boot shortly thereafter though he's probably posting again under a different handle.
Colostomy bag.

The only thing more impressive than what Diaz did this year is this thread bump and the eating crow and denial it's about to expose.

Bravo.

brock's endless enthusiasm pays off

I make valid points but people just hate based on a misconception that I was a golden fan.
