His is exactly the type of defense that best suits south florida athletes. Blitzes like crazy...almost too aggressive for some (not for me). we will injure some QBs in the coarstal with our attacking cover 2.

This is going to get recruits in here that want to get after the QB, make plays, be seen on TV, and showcase their talent for the NFL. We won't be bringing in DTs to just fill gaps any more.

Same can be said a year later.

We go from a guy who fields nothing but top 5 defenses, to a guy who got fired for being D'Onofrio level at UT. He was MISERABLE there. I mean epic failure as a DC there.

Anyone who is celebrating this probably jerked off when Corley got hired. We just hired a very bad coach folks, and his system is NOT the old Miami 4-3. It's a zone blitz mess that is hard for kids to learn.

For all the idiots saying "yay attacking defense!" allow me to explain how his defense attacks:

Via the zone blitz. This means that you will be seeing AQM dropping into zone coverage. This means a defense that is VERY confusing and often takes years to implement properly.

What you won't see is 4 men on the line just getting after it with man coverage behind.

Congrats, the mouthbreathers got what they want: a mediocre to poor DC who runs a 4-3.

Your meltdown over the Diaz hire was extremely embarrassing for all of us.

That's why you strike fast like a cobra and don't sit around with your thumb up your ***. There was a very large window of time between the date that Richt was hired and the date that Steele left LSU. Should have locked up Brown or Aranda during that window. Instead, we get Dale' II.

I don't understand this line of thinking. As if what a coach did for his career should have no bearing bc he didn't do it at Miami.

It goes hand in hand with the absurd belief that anybody can easily coach Miami to championships.

I think we really have people who legitimately believe that all you have to do it hand a guy a manual that says "4 Defensive Linemen, 3 Linebackers" and it's instant defensive domination.

Here's a link to a Mississippi State board. Most of their posters are happy he's going. I saw mention of his bend but don't break defense that gives up big plays and I also saw mention of MSU players trashing Diaz on twitter.
