Mallory Gone (senior bowl)

It was crazy as **** to watch replays during the game, and seeing him struggle and flat out miss blocks during running plays over and over again. So Why in the world is he out there running this play when you know he struggles in that area? After he's shown you time and time again, that he can't block and you still trotting his *** out there, lining him up on the LOS, to block the edge? That's not a Mallory problem, that's a coaching problem. Apparently we not watching film the correct way. Hopefully he finds a home in the NFL that won't ask him to do that until he can. Good luck youngin!

So INFURIATING, at first i thought maybe J Arroyo was TE2 (and wanted him to focus on that position), then I thought Dom M was hurt or heard he was hurt, than K. Brantley came in and he was motioning and blocking incredibly and we kept running the same play and they knew it was coming.......................... but no kept trying to use Mallory as a blocker til the last game smdh

Small hands for a TE.
Will Mallory....
Based on his talent...is definitely in my top 5 most frustrating UM players of all time...I would be at the games literally predicting dumb **** that he would do...and my Buddy hated it bc he swore that Mallory was going to be the next Shockey....he eventually changed his opinion...
Hope he reaches his potential...wish him the best and reps the U well

Mallory was held back by scheme and not being able to block my grandma. He will do very well in the NFL.

All these kids leave Miami & magically ball.

Ivery covering receivers. Mallory blocking. What's next? Rooster holding onto the ball? Crazy
It's because our program is cursed, my brother; there's simply too much evidence supporting this theory to ignore at this point...embrace your inner mope and you'll see the light!

I think Mallory is another kid who will play much better in the league than he did at Miami.

Coming from such an illustrious Coaching family he’ll definitely be prepared to handle the demands of the NFL better than most. Not a Broncos fan, but it would cool if he got drafted by them & got to play for his Dad.

Mallory reminds me of a Hunter Henry type, good receiving TE not really a great blocker, but can move the chains & be a chunk yardage weapon in the middle of the field if utilized in the right offense.

So it only took the coaches at the senior bowl about 3 days to teach Mallory how to block…
Doubt that. Maybe he’s trying harder with a career on the line or maybe he one-offed. It’d be hard to blame “teaching” for his blocking exploits here. He was one of the worst blocking tight ends we’ve had and would single handedly destroy plays. If he magically learned to block in two days how about blaming Mallory? It would suggest that his problem was effort and attention and not technique.

It’s more likely that he’ll be terrible up there too. You can be physical for a few days but longer term it’s in you or it’s not.
