Mallory Gone (senior bowl)

This is the kind of **** that infuriates me.

The way he comes out of his stance and aggressively engages the defender and rides him out in a great block is something this man did not do in 5 years at Miami.

Not once did he ever fire out that fast or that hard. Not once did he effectively move a Defensive End like that.

Why not? In 5 years.

And I'm a huge Mallory fan. It's the same **** at these Senior Games and Pro Days every year man.

Anyone who’s disagreeing w/ this is being a str8 Homer. Coach Hayes have PLENTY of clips in his “Good, Bad, & Ugly” where he highlights Mallory’s poor blocking & this was not a couple of games, it was **** near every game & he voiced his frustration numerous of times regarding it.

I’m seeing him fire off the l.o.s today & while I’m happy to see that, it is a bit of a where was this effort in the uniform that’s put u in this position to be scouted??

This is the **** that happens when you’re not deep enough… coddle and make excuses for this dude starting. Plus trying to foster culture and senior leadership. ****es me off to no end

For the past five years Mallory has been here the canes has 💩 coaching and no accountability for effort
 
A player doesn’t suddenly learn how to do something during Senior Bowl practice...

Maybe player’s play a certain way when they’re inspired vs when they’re uninspired.

Maybe as a Coach, it could be your job to get the best out of that player if that’s something you’re capable of doing...

But then again, that might be asking too much.
 
Mallory had a good season last year but by that time the fans were so full of hatred for the offense, but also Mallory that it was pretty blind venom

He improved his hands a lot in his time here and he made a lot of big catches for us last year

A limited guy blocking obviously and he’s no Jeremy Shockey but look at his production as a TE compared to the rest of the offense

From the final few games of 2021 through last year he was pretty good
 


I mean that's still not a good block - technically speaking - but **** where was that effort in a Canes uniform?!

He did this last year , you just was t play attention, I don’t blame you though cause our offense was terrible

Yeah, if anything Mallory made some tough catches & was trying to drag ppl as the yr went on. There was a sense of urgency in that matter, but his blocking was still woeful af. Seeing him at the Senior Bowl blocking low key ****ed me off, b/c in my head I was like this **** do have the ability to block! Lol

The hate comes from how many run plays he single -
 
For me, my dislike of Mallory has to do with what I covet in a football player. I just happen to prioritize toughness and physicality in football players especially those who sometimes play in line. Watching Mallory get tossed around or completely miss an assignment was very annoying again and again.

I guess you can blame UM coaches if he does it for a week elsewhere but it’s more likely that he understood that he had to do this to try to make a lot of money. And that is even more unlikable to be honest.

But maybe that’s just me. It’s hard to watch soft football players.

That's genuinely Lashlee just positioning himself to use Mallory's success in the NFL (if he has any) as a recruiting tool.
 
Love Mallory and wish he could’ve been healthy more while he was here. Wish him the best in the league and hope that he puts on for the U.
