Do we know if he was outperforming the guys ahead of him in practice? I get he's highly rated. I myself think he's talented and didn't get a chance to show what he can do on the field, but has anyone offered anything concrete that showed he was demonstrably better in practice than the guys ahead of him or are we just lamenting losing a 5-star player? There's probably more to the story here than just "Coaches done messed up again."

If there isn't, so be it, but all I've seen is "Why won't they give him the ball?" For a team that loses its starting RB to FIU and struggles running the ball, I'd say they must have thought he wasn't better than what they had ahead of him for them not to run him on the field.

the RB spot is one of the few spots where it doesnt matter if youre a true frosh or not imo. chaney knighton should see a healthy dose of carries next year. at some point, someone was going to leave with the haul we brought in this year.

It absolutely matters, we have no idea how the freshman will do. Although we don't know how Lo would do, we have to have blue Chip depth. DJ is gone and Cam seemed to hit his sophomore slump, who knows how that turns out. Also, an innovative OC would use these weapons together on the field, 2 backs, split out, etc.

Meaning, putting your stock in freshman RBs is a risky proposition. The college game is a completely different animal and we aren't good enough to let talented kids just leave. Great teams are great because they have great experienced talent.

It never made any sense and now that Dallas leaving early and the spot wide open still doesn’t make any sense but I really Don’t blame him either. Is what it is
