Lingard in the Portal

Once upon a time a freshman Warren Sapp told a sophomore Dwayne Johnson that he's coming for his job and he did and he took it.

Nowadays, kids run to the transfer portal. They have every right to do so. Good on them for using the options they have to the best that they feel. They're kids and life is too short wish any ill will on anyone.

However to fix the culture here at Miami, we need guys that are going to ham for that spot. Is Lingard more naturally gifted than Cam? Probably. But I'll take the guy that's gonna go balls to the wall for some burn. Hard to hold anyone accountable when you're going to walk out the door just cause the sun ain't shining in your room. We need a locker room full of guys that force that accountable, especially the top dudes. But when you have kids like Jarren, Jeff, and Lingard moping and pouting, that sht just doesn't fly. Perry lost his job the minute Manny asked Jarren to come back. Dude, fixed his attitude, battled, answered when his name was called. Is Perry he answer at QB? Obviously at this point no. But you can definitely tell the team responded to him well when he briefly took over snaps this season. ****, Richt once told Rosier that he would never play QB for him. Then Rosier helped lead us to the brink of a CFB playoff and our first ACCCG appearance, before his limitations were exposed.

Talent-aside, we need to fill the locker room with more guys like Cam, Brevin, and Shaq. Accountability is key.

nah i got that, but the whole clowning on an actual current cane just bc some dude people suck up to on here said it is a joke. cam is a cane and hes got my support till he isnt.

Well the new Miami fans support guys walking out over the guys staying and repping the team. So you should’t be shocked. Not saying to bash the kid leaving , just saying don’t bash the kid who is staying.

Fact is I have a mind of my own and with all due respect to friends and families of players leaving, but they have reason to be butthurt. Especially when their friend or family isn’t playing as much as they think they should.

All friends and families think their kid is being screwed or held down if they don’t play.

Honestly the only thing I know is he left and didn’t play much under two staffs. He could go be great elsewhere but he could also disappear like many have. We’ll see, but I don’t know enough to give a strong opinion like most in here. But I do know most people will go against the staff right now no matter what the situation is , because of the on field circumstances.

The playoffs had 3 transfers that would have been on the bench if they stayed. It is a fine line

different Miami than when I was in college with them. You must not be paying attention. Our players don’t believe in our coaches

With a ton of promise that we’ve never seen play and was 5 star and everyone wanted but like clock work we missed used yet another player

Maybe He improved, but I wasn't very impressed with His HS highlight tape...it's not like this kid was Noel Devine or some $h!t.

Really struggled with pass blocking, retaining information/remembering plays, running too stiff. Still an elite talent overall. If he does well elsewhere, it'll be because he corrected those issues, not because they didn't exist. Wish him the best in the future.

I actually posted I never saw a five star in him, his hs film didn’t blow me away ( which went over well). I could be wrong ( won’t be the first time) but we’ll see.

Just a big fast kid that didn’t show wiggle or vision. Just hitting the hole clean and outrunning folks. Pretty stiff imo. Can’t really remember but wasn’t his competition pretty weak?

I never got the hype , but then again I get the hype. He was fast , so that alone makes these guys hard.

But I wish him well and plenty of lucky.

Dam Stef...that pretty much describes the whole team......"Really struggled with pass blocking, retaining information/remembering plays, running too stiff."

I don't understand how this is true. Where is this coming from?

The only part I could actually see being accurate is him running too stiff.

If Lo was one of the top two backs on the team then it would have been observed by people other than his relatives. He wasn't better than DJ who was a QB in high school and he wasn't better than Cam'Ron. Maybe he would have been before the injury, but we will never know. Neither Manny nor Enos would purposely play lesser talented players. I wish Lo luck, he always seemed like a great kid and someone wanting to be at Miami.

last video I saw of him running he still looked like he had a limp.

who was that Lb a few years ago that tore his knee up and never got back his speed. He would drag that leg around the rest of the games he played. His name slips my mind right now
Is it recently, because the only LB I remember that was going to be a force before getting hurt was Darrion Owens.
