I hear you but **** man. Shanny is a defensive coach and I guess I was just hoping for a new OC that would finally use him. I guess the HC is always going to be involved but in our case, I hope we can get a truly innovative spread and Shanny stays out of the way. Not to mention, he's obviously not firing Baker, so he really needs to concentrate on D

He stayed out Enos' way so that is not the issue. It's whether he can get a competent OC in here that can produce on the field. He's in a tough spot for sure because perception of program has further eroded than when he first took over. He could have landed better OC prospects at beginning compared to now.

...a completely silly response by you. Sitting out another year when if he was good enough he could compete for playing time under a new OC makes no logical sense.

Makes perfect sense. He obviously doesn't trust manny and his conflict is with manny. Thats why he is not willing to wait for the new OC.

Meaning, putting your stock in freshman RBs is a risky proposition. The college game is a completely different animal and we aren't good enough to let talented kids just leave. Great teams are great because they have great experienced talent.
Main issue will almost exclusively be picking up blocking well enough when it's a free for all behind the line as of now. If I had to guess I'd say chaney probably will struggle with that and knighton will be the better of the two as of now. But I only say that cause of size. Than again duke was a great blocker so well see.

Per 247; Lingard was the #2 RB (5 star) in the nation and Harris was the #7 RB in the nation.

Per 247; Chaney is the #5 RB (4 star) in the nation and Knighton is the #10 RB in the nation.

Clearly by rankings, 2018 was the better haul.

Hard to determine if it was "better" just by rank which can be a bit subjective. I would say comparable.

MUCH Deeper rb group in 2020 than it was in 2018. That has been said by multiple people, place them in this class of rbs where would they be ranked? Not where they finished in 2018

Lol;

So the justification is that since 2020 is a deeper class for RBs (which I agree), then 2018 haul is discounted? So Lo wasn’t a true 5 star, is that what u’re saying? So the joy of picking up two top 10 backs in 2018 should have an asterisk to it? Losing Lo, an elite blue chip recruit, is OK, b/c we have some true freshmen coming in, who are probably better than him b/c of their rankings in a much better RB class, correct? Is that the new excuse to help ya’ll sleep for losing Lo? Let me guess, Lo is leaving b/c he’s afraid of competition, right? Lol.

It’s the same recycled bull chit every season.

and again

shots to the HC?

This tweet here tells me all I need to know about both them.
"This hurt right here... this aint it idk what to say bout this man true ball player just wanted a opportunity gone miss my ***** frfr , all them nights on call of duty and etc
😂
, ima see you at the top brotha #1timesoup

🖤
" John Campbell

Maybe less call of duty and more playbook puts both their asses on the field.

I’m sure cam got love for Lingard but imo sometimes people just take things different in situations like this in terms of their feeling on how a teammate of theirs dipping out on them. To each their own I guess

Brock, as the official CIS Twitter translator (much respect for your work), does Cam’s tweet translate to this is why i got the carries, *******???

Makes perfect sense. He obviously doesn't trust manny and his conflict is with manny. Thats why he is not willing to wait for the new OC.
Then, like I said, there's more to the story we aren't getting. Deejay and Cam sure don't seem to have a trust issue with Manny. Something specific about Lingard's relationship with the coaches comes into play. We don't know what it is.
