See, here's the thing, Butch Davis recruiting at THE U has resulted in the two finest collections of football talent in history and the players who won 4, count them FOUR National Championships. I don't care what Butch did some place else. I care everything about what he has done when he gets his hands on THE U.

Golden burned me for a lot of these up and coming coaches. With what he did at Temple, I thought Golden was gonna do very very well at Miami. I am not ashamed to admit I thought it was a good hire. I was very wrong. So, that experience has put a bad taste in my mouth for some of the up and coming coaches. However, I freely admit, that both Herman and Fuente are better and more accomplished coaching candidates that Golden was. But I would be ok with hiring either one of those coaches.

NVA, not sure if we would have won one or 10 without Butch's recruits, but we did win 4 out of five with them. He didn't coach any of them but if Coker could then I am thinking Butch could get us one and build another monster. Nobody else comes with anything approaching Butch's warranty. Strangely, had he won a NC, I would not be so in favor of him. Then he would be old dude trying to relive something. Butch is trying to fill the whole he left in his stomach and heart. But but they were gonna make a title run , there was just a bunch of suspensions . That's the second best thing on his resume .

During the Houston game I was thinking there's ***gits with literal erections hoping for a loss . They could run in an say " his fluke is over , Bbb".
