They might fire his *** if he has another disappointing season like this one. He went on another of his trademark rants this week, and the general feeling is ppl are kind of tired of his act. AD also took a subtle shot at his recruiting this summer.

He knows he's on borrowed time right now.

Yes it did but back then it surprised a lot of people he got hired here.he caughtheck first year he was here.at okst he was thought of as being too conservative .
 
Hard for Gundy to leave his kids are still in school.his son plays for the local high school.but miami can offer him what okst can't.recruiting hotbed the kind of athletes he needs to run his offense.

Al Golden hit #7 at one point. Let’s get him back too. Maybe we can have a Richt/Golden tandem head coaching team. Heck, Dave wannstedt had a team ranked!! Maybe we should put together the worlds first 3 headed monster head coach!!

Congrats. At this point last season Richt had Miami ranked 2nd.

Gundy did catch flack last off season from the OSU AD for poor recruiting performances.

McCombs, Boone, et al at least have the drive and cash to put conpetent staffs in place, just like the T A&M and Bama booster collectives.


Miami has neither an angel investor (Soffer's closest) or booster mafia on par with those programs.

Fair criticism however, of UTs and OSUs last few years of performance, but at least you see them act decisively.
 
No to Gundy. He just tried to blame his coaching faults on “Liberalism” . So not only does he not play defense, or recruit well, or never really won much ; he’s also intellectually dishonest.

The resources were there for this last hire.

Doesn’t matter how much money is available, if the decision makers aren’t good ones, nothing changes.
 
JJ came from Oklahoma State and Dennis Erickson came from Washington State. Either one would work for me but I would love the Pirate.

It's a good thing we had a hard core conservative running us in the ground instead of a liberal.
