that old white guy with cancer

I, for one , hope karma deals with you for this comment.

Or perhaps it already has and that's why your mindset is such that you'd make this remark.

Stay ignorant Miami fans.
Wtf are u talking about? I cannot remember his name.. Pointing out a Guy has cancer makes me the anti Christ? Get a life dude, pointing out that a guy had cancer or wishing cancer upon someone else... Who's the *******?

really? you're on a recruiting board everyday that's mainly about SFL football, and Larry Bluestein has put in more time and has done more for these local kids than possibly anyone in SFL history.....and you only know to refer to him as "that old white guy with cancer"?????????

and don't give me that "I didn't remember Blue's name" ****

Anti-Christ? no. Douche? today, yes

So I have to lie about my intentions on a crootin board to save face to a few internet posters..:mmkay:... Anyways point I was ttrying to make even he the god of crootin down here referred to Teddy as a play maker and not a QB on Joe Rose Show one morning and made remarks that ..... EVen he was not convinced he would be a college QB.. So I am willing to give Gibson a shot at QB regardless of the QB coaches on here. Also the etransition to WR is not an easy one, Remember the #1 Dual rated QB that went to LSU? Yea I forgot his name too.. HE was moved to WR where is he now? Nowhere....They tried to move Pat WHite also... I would stay at QB if I were him..

You guys are taking my Teddy comment wrong, but whatever, I realize bringing his name up elicits a lot of response

No you are a right...even the #1 talet evaluator in Siuth Florida said he woule make a better Wide Reciever...you guys can remember what you want...even I thought he would be a WR

LMAO @ #1 talent evaluator in South Florida.

Nice guy though.

Vern, you are better than this trash but I will bite.

the fact that he's a "better" prospect at WR before his senior season is completely irrelevant and you know it. If a kid can make a difference at QB, you take that 1,000 times out of 1,000 without question. And you're really going to act like you have to be a great passer to be a successful college QB? Come on bruh

This - I can't believe people think this kid can't play QB. This isn't the NFL, we are talking college. Gibson will win someone a lot of games at QB in college. Did you guys not see Tim Tebow throw the ball when he was at UF?

We don't run the offense that Florida ran with Tim Tebow, man. SMH

elite athlete, come on down!

This. Can never have too many.

Is he really an elite athlete? I think that term gets thrown around way too easily.

Is he a legit 4.3/4.4 kid?

Fastest kid on a fast Heritage team. (at 6'5")

He's an athlete freak.

Similar size to Streeter with that speed. Question is does he have that edge Streeter didn't.

I think so. Streeter was a puppy. Gibson isn't IMO. Gibson's ego wouldn't allow him to get out-positioned for jump balls or let some 5'9" CB cover him.

If you're right then I think he could come out of college being one of the most dominate WR's in a long time. Especially paired with the group we have and will have. It's really the perfect environment for him to succeed at that position.

How is not relevant though?

Like Gibson, Tebow couldn't throw.

Tebow still succeeded due to his offense.

See the correlation?

The biggest problem with Gibson at QB is that he's a slow thinker.

There are many different types of QBs that have success but they're all quick thinkers with the ball in their hands. IMO, Gibson just doesn't look instinctual at QB. He's doesn't control the game like Treon Harris and Sean White did last year.

He's still a playmaker and this team needs all the playmakers it can get regardless of what position he ends up at.

Completely agree and it doesn't hurt to tell him you can come in as a QB and if that doesn't work out move to WR.

This. Bring him in as a QB and give him a shot at QB. If he can play and wins the position, then that's great. If he can't play the position and move him to WR, then he will be great there. It's a win-win if you can sign him because the kid is a special athlete and competitor. I'd hate to lose the kid to another school.

The point is that you don't have to have NFL skill set to succeed in college. There tons of guys that were succesful in college that didn't have NFL skill sets.

No kidding, but there's other factors that come into play...

SUCH AS THE OFFENSE YOU PLAY IN.

Play-maker in high school doesn't equal play-maker in college. He makes plays in high school cause he out-athletes everybody. He's a terrible passer and has no clue how to read a defense.

As a QB he'd be starting from square one if he came here. He'd have to spend at least two years learning and developing his game, meaning he'd be on the bench and wouldn't be contributing.

I doubt he's gonna want to do that.
