Latest on QB Torrance Gibson.....

with him now looking hard at playing for Rich Rodriguez, his "advisors' should take a moment to draft a list of all the QBs that he has produced(or others running the same system) in the NFL and how much $$$ they've made....

the fact that he's a "better" prospect at WR before his senior season is completely irrelevant and you know it. If a kid can make a difference at QB, you take that 1,000 times out of 1,000 without question. And you're really going to act like you have to be a great passer to be a successful college QB? Come on bruh

This - I can't believe people think this kid can't play QB. This isn't the NFL, we are talking college. Gibson will win someone a lot of games at QB in college. Did you guys not see Tim Tebow throw the ball when he was at UF?
 
Vern is right.. jH.. he needs to think do I want to be the next Vince Young or Calvin Johnson.. It's very simple. Those are the questions he has to ask himself?

It's not that we think he can't be successful in college at qb. It's that we don't think he will be in the nfl, if he even makes it that far as a qb. I mean these kids are always talking about how they want to be out in the best situation to succeed and make money and "feed the cam" but Gibson isn't even willing to do the one thing that will exponentially increase his chances of making that dream a reality, and that's switching to WR.

Jhall maybe I didn't explain myself well, I thought teddy could only play wr I made a mistake ( probly sour grapes because he spurned us)As well as other south Florida talent evaluators( that old white guy with cancer)... I'm not makin that mistake again with t Gibson I would bring him in as a QB, and give him a shot with no hesitation and I could careless if it scared anybody away

Whenever this debate arises, all I say is Anquan Boldin. You tell the kid he can play QB. Once the fish is in the boat, you figure it out.

I agree, but the bottom line is he wants to play QB, he will be a VERY good college QB. Who are we to insist he do what's best for the NFL? Let the kid do what he wants as long as he has the skill set to come here and be successful. If you told me he wasn't good enough at QB to succeed at the BCS/UM level and the only position he could play well enough to play here was WR then that's a different story.

Iirc, guys like boldin and warrick had virtually no intention of playing qb in college - or at least everyone knew they wouldn't.

It's a different ballgame if they fully intend not to switch positions.

Kid is talented but obviously a head case, otherwise schools wouldn't be backing off of him a little. The kid is obviously supremely talented but if he were to come here it would be a "handle with care" situation. I wouldn't hand this kid the keys to our locker room so to speak until he can prove to this staff and his team that he is capable of it. It's not just about being a physical freak; he needs to be able to lead a team
 
Bring him in. I want a top QB every single year coming into the school if we are able to do that. That way there is always top competition happening in practice and we don't have to have rely on true freshman at the QB situation

really? you're on a recruiting board everyday that's mainly about SFL football, and Larry Bluestein has put in more time and has done more for these local kids than possibly anyone in SFL history.....and you only know to refer to him as "that old white guy with cancer"?????????
