Per TOS there are factions among those that are making decisions. People care and there's money..... Don't think it has anything to do with Highsmith keeping Manny. (seems like Manny is staying no matter what) .... More like whether to make this position happen with Highsmith or the scope/authority of the job... It's mind boggling how much power Blake James seems to have over this whole process....

VT just hired a Chief of Staff. As did FSU.

Schools are moving this way to have someone primarily in charge of football since it is such a mass revenue generating sport.

Don't go losing your mind over every rumor. This is likely going to happen, but as in any negotiation, there's grandstanding and negotiation ploys that occur first before an agreement is made.
