Lashlee - Bama Gameplan

I couldn't believe my eyes. I literally couldn't believe what I was seeing. We never even bothered to try it seemed. Lashlee was so scared of Alabama that he just ran a bunch of give up plays. We didn't even begin to compete until the 2nd quarter. He has to go. This is not an over reaction. I still cant believe what I saw.
That third and 7 on the first drive told everyone all we needed to know. And before someone says it was an RPO or King made the wrong read, if he is still not making the right reads play and play, drive after drive, then tailor the offense to what he can do and stop making him make a **** read.

This is all facts. Lashlee was by far the biggest disappointment of this game. Subpar gameplan with a soft, passive approach. We know who he is now, a guy who can scheme against lesser teams but will shrivel against equal or greater talent. How do you not help your OT's chip at Harris/Anderson with an Xtra rb or TE ? Either it was arrogance or stupidity on his part, neither are acceptable traits, we can do better at OC than this.

What about all the posts saying: (1) Lashlee is going to be a candidate for several head coaching jobs, (2).we need to enjoy Lashlee while we can - he will be gone after this year, and (3) we are lucky to have him?

Also - That 4th and goal play call from the one yard line was horrible. As the team was lining up I was screaming at my TV saying, "Please dont run a QB sneak here." Sheesh!

A QB sneak from the shotgun on 4th and goal from the one yard line with a QB coming off a major knee injury.

Many of us in the game chat agreed, the way Rhett Lashlee called the first three series of this game told us a lot about him. He called a truly scared game. Its almost as if he waited until Bama covered the spread before he started running his regular game plan. We also saw this during the Clemson game last season.

There's an old adage in the NFL, they say its better to lose traditionally than win untraditionally. To me, it looks like Lashlee called a game today designed to look good in during the interview process next offseason more so than a guy looking to upset the #1 team.

Very disappointed in him today.

When he ran on 3rd & 7 I knew he was shook. No way you run on 3rd at that point in the game. At least not this one. He called ah ***** game

He does the same sht every big game…run up the middle for negative or no gain over and over…and never challenges the other team down the field. And y in the **** did a Scaife start again. Williams went in and played pretty good. Man the staff be on some other sht.
That wasn’t Williams. It was the transfer from unlv

That was an awful scripted series of plays. Playing Alabama you got to start fast because of their PlayStation offense. Giving up 3 is a win.
