2026 Lamar Brown 5* OT/DT from University Lab in Baton Rouge, LA Commits to LSU

Man as obvious as it should've been. Like he pretty much attends lsu already, I still chose to believe @1murhurricane about dude being a Cane. And guess what? I WILL CONTINUE to have faith in my dawg whenever he drops some info. He got a good enough batting average regardless. Don't worry bro, I'm not switching sides....

*starts crying*

Excellent and I mean EXCELLENT gif! You ever hear the noise he makes on auto tune? If not, look it up on YouTube. Make sure to remove any liquids from your mouth before watching.

I mean it’s making fun of someone’s worst point in their life. However it was also the first thought that ran through my head when I saw that gif. Immediately started giggling. Mrs. BigDik says I have maturity issues.

Big Nasty 300 pound DT's are seemingly located in the South/Southeast-Have to deal with SEC schools and Clemson.

Also in North/Northeast-Deal with Notre Dame, Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan

Lastly west coast-Somoan and deal with USC/Oregon

Need some southern Mama's to move to South Florida!
See….Clemson got into the bag game and laundered their money thru New Spring ministries. They were bagging elite DL in the 2009 and on. Soon they win the chip 7 years later all the while developing the elite DL and getting a NFL draft resume. Our last consistent ELITE DL haul that spanned years was the early 2000s

This is not true. High profile kids leave Louisiana all the time. The Stewart kid who went to USC last cycle is an example. Some kids leave; some kids stay. It's the game.
that kid had a weird recruitment is the only way he left new orleans. he reclassified up n didnt even play. Almost like he got bagged to reclassify by usc. so he caught lsu off guard

I agree with you, but your statements means the following people lack even half a brain cell;
Mario Cristobal
@DMoney
@Peter Ariz
@1murhurricane

Now you may be correct about them, but I would submit that 3 of them made public comments about the viability of Brown committing to UM because the 4th person (or someone close to him), gave them confidence in what they were telling us.

Which makes me wonder if the UM coaches are really not in tune with how many of the top rated recruits feel, and they are passing on that bad information to the people who give us information. Which makes me wonder whether we should all take a step back from making recruiting predictions. I’m not here to blame anyone, but I have to admit to being disappointed as much with the predictions as with the out-of-touch coaches.

What exactly is the point of hyping recruits who are so, so unlikely to come to UM?
im not gonna lie man i thought you were a recruiting vet. I love lamar brown as a prospect on ol or dl but knew from jump in no way shape or form he was coming here. I feel the exact same way with Keys so im not waiting on a FLIP there either.

CROOTING VETS KNOW HOW THE GAME GOES.

Lamar Brown when he tweeted "ya;; sleep on miami" was further confirmation....He likely was always headed lsu...but he listed the big nil schools like us, tx, txam to draw up the money lsu would pay..his agent is headed to nil first ballot hall of fame status soon.

It’s more cultural. Louisiana is different. Unlike anywhere I’ve ever lived, or even visited. Quite different from the rest of the south. There’s LSU, there’s the Saints, and that’s it for like 90%. There is no lasting opposition ever. There was a brief period where Kelly ****ed off the New Orleans HS coaches, but you see stuff like that gets resolved quickly. Saban could have never left Michigan State and like 85% of Louisiana high schools’ colors would be purple and gold. I’ve said it a bunch of times here. The SEC/Ohio State etc. has had a 20 year head start, both in dropping bags and poisoning the well with local coaches, trainers, handlers, etc. Miami has also botched hires, failed to win the ACC or be nationally competitive, and failed to develop local stars (more to do with failed evaluation processes than coaching. Year over year the NFL is valuing traits. Not to say he was a missed Eval but Restrepo, an all-time leading receiver ran a 4.8 and went undrafted. Not Miami’s fault but facts don’t always matter when coaches’ careers depend on getting their narratives to recruits.). Miami’s problems are singular (maybe USC), the staff has to figure this out or at least overcome until everything is rolling year in and year out. IDK if it’s useful to keep comparing to other programs.
this right here has made us look like we cant develop

Not true. LSU really only got into New Orleans once Saban got there and he hired guys who were connected to New Orleans high school football. New Orleans has its own football politics that is separate and apart from the rest of Louisiana. Also, USC's DL coach is from New Orleans and is friend's with Stewart's handler. LSU wasn't caught off guard by Stewart. They couldn't match what USC offered in the way of NIL (Marvel Comics is involved with Stewart's NIL and USC put that together) coupled with his DL coach being close with Stewart's people.

I’m with you completely. I just don’t understand why folks come on CIS and make predictions based on what they are told by people in the program, who have been consistently wrong.

The key to these big time recruits is when they tweet at a particular school to hype up the crooting. That’s just about always the death knell for a school.

WTF with DTs? Maybe it’s a personality issue? DTs are bat**** crazy and Mario expects kids to be like Cam Ward or X or Blount. I mean, look at how many decent ones transferred out under him too. He has got to fix this failure starting now. Time to take DT personally, Mario.

Its like him tweeting at A&M recruits about playing together before his announcement, basically confirming he wasn't going there, kids aren't letting anyone know

TrumpyCane thinks its similar to Cantwell, who was tweeting pro UGA stuff before his announcement, retweeting Curtis, etc

Yeah no disrespect to anyone thinking otherwise but that “yall sleeping on Miami in recruiting” was it for me

On the flip side when Cantwell took that pic with UGAs future QB (I think that’s what he was) I was like wait maybe we do have a chance here
