It’s pretty remarkable that we were a playoff contender last year with the lack of elite talent (and a bottom tier QB.) The draft confirmed that we had good not great talent compared to the Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State, Oklahoma’s of the world. It’s amazing the UCF has more day 1 and 2 picks that UM. Will be exciting to see when we have first and second rounders replacing the 6th and 7th rounders.

If it wasn't for the ****** QB play we would have won a championship this year... Our guys would have had more exposure and would have been drafted much higher!

We do lack talent to compete with the elite teams in the country...its predominantly along the lines where we are essentially 3 years of heavy, hard recruiting the lines with 4* and 5* talent to compete with Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, etc.

Getting the DL Coach from Georgia probably one of the smarter things Richt has done since coming here. We can't stockpile what we need to stockpile without getting a legit foothold in Savage Country somewhere and Georgia is as good as any. We can't be relying to keep stocked with the South Florida elite players on the OL/DL. One, because there usually aren't that many to begin with. Two, they have proven to be wishy washy and ultimately not worth the effort anyway, as they oft fail to live up to expectations.

we were the least talented of big bowl teams along with wisky, they showed that stat. Its not surprising when u let kids go to uga fsu bama uf and everywhere else. Keep those kids we back in no time, if we dont we will be in the mud where we r where 10-3 is good enough

Clemson lost to Syracuse
Ohio state lost to Iowa by 30
With all of thy elite talent, how did that help them in those games?.... quit saying we can’t compete with elite teams when we throttled two top 15 teams back to back including #3 Notre Dame who at the time everyone was talking them up as they were unbeatable. That same Notre Dame team beat LSU and only lost to uga by 1 point

No, you stack classes like we did in 2018 back to back. People love to talk about who don’t come here but fail to mention there is only 25 scholarships available and there are way more than that in south Florida alone. It’s an unattainable goal to completely lockdown south Florida but we can try to get most of the elite talent which we did last year

Well since you said it like that.......

Golden was not a bad recruiter. He actually was pretty good at QB evaluations. Rosier and Kaaya turned out well despite not being highly sought after recruits.

We may not be there yet but we are definitely not far away. All of our young QB's have a higher ceiling than the current starter so it's only a matter of time before that position becomes solidified. OL is a weak link right now but they are young and talented.....we just have to keep stacking.

our top end talent on the roster matches up with nearly anyone in the country....the major difference between us and Bama, Clemson, Ohio St. etc. is that they have NFL guys backing up the NFL guys in front of them.

We're getting there, and if the 19 and 20 classes go as well as we all think they will, our talent level and depth will be back to being top 5 in the country.

Did you see the game we played against Clemson? Alabama, okla, would have killed us just as bad. Our overall talent still inferior to top tier teams. Wisconsin was a very good team but not elite abd after first quarter they dominated us.
