Kul out at Bama

Our D line still looked good last year, especially Willis. We'll see if Simpson can develop his own guys and he's only a plus on the trail compared to Kool.

I remember reading kool was like a lone wolf with the previous staff. Didn’t gel at all with anyone.

Wait until some narrative comes out that Kewl was a big city guy and never really liked the culture in Tuscaloosy.

Eff that guy. Forever chasin' an NFL dream without realizing he was a lazy old ******* that obviously can't interview well.

You'll see him on an XFL sideline next year.

Coach Stool fell victim to his own hype. Yes he developed some players at Missouri but once he started taking higher profile jobs his deficiencies as a coach were greatly magnified. He couldn't recruit for **** and he neglected the run stopping aspect of DL play. Stool was all about those sacks but he ultimately lacked the attention to detail that the truly great position coaches posses. I truly think that Simpson could develop into an elite DL coach. As flawed as Richt was, he did do some very good things not the least of which was hiring Diaz and Simpson.

Makes sense. He was the only coach mark hired who anyone had ever hear of before. Turned out there might have been a reason he was fired from Missouri but coming in he was highest profile coach amongst a bunch of huh?, who? Why? Types on the staff.

I remember posting this and getting backlash from someone for doubting Kul. Posted in December 2017. Not sure if those DEs were even his evals or the Coordinators/HC. He didn't recruit any of them:

Out of all the 4-5 star DL commits from 2001-2015, Kul was the primary recruiter for only 1 (Andy Maple). That was the only commit at any position, listed 4-stars or higher, where he was the primary. Btw, there are zero listed 4-5star prospects TARGETS from Texas (his supposed assigned recruiting territory) that listed Kul as their primary recruiter. Some profiles, especially before 2012, don't list every single primary recruiter. I'm hopeful, but the available data is concerning.

The primary recruiters for every 4/5star DT/DEs COMMITS, during Kul's tenure at Missouri:

Andy Maples - Recruited by Craig Kuligowski

If you want the names of the primary recruiter for those 3 star beasts that he coached, well, here ya go:

Aldon Smith: Primary recruiter Andy Hill

Charles Harris (2-star): Primary recruiter Andy Hill

Shane Ray: Primary recruiter Andy Hill

Andy Hill is apparently the real deal. He landed 5-star DBG and other highly rated players to missouri.

I'm not going act like this man hasn't developed studs and **** on his resume just bc he left our (at the time) amatuer operation. The body of work speaks for itself, including our own Joe Jack, Chad, and Garvin.

Yes, he is a certified douchebag thats less lilkeable than syphillis (allegedly gave Mizzous playbook away after being fired) . And yes, he is a HORRENDOUS recruiter, but the man can coach and has receipts to back it up. He was hired by Saban for a reason, and tbh, Bamas d line still performed at a high level last yr (except when it counted of course against Clemson) and keep in mind that they lost Payne who was from another dimension. Watch what our D Line does this year wo Willis if you think a loss like that isnt significant.

As has been stated, he wants to go to the NFL where his work is highly respected. He hasn't been hired bc he's an ******* nobody likes.
