Kelly Bryant scheduled to visit UM

There is no need to bring Bryant in. With proper coaching the qb's already here can be just as good as he would be. I'd rather get a new OC/qb coach and let him coach the guys we already have up in the offseason. Then have the competition open throughout fall camp.

Bringing in someone else just tells Jarren and especially Nkosi, that neither are good enough. I doubt another year of Richt telling them "you're going to be a good player" will go over well.

It's November and cold where he is, wants to come experience sand and all that goes with it instead of snow.
Not coming to play Qb

Free trip to Miami?...

This.

Think through it. What possible upside for Bryant is there to come to Miami?

He needs a winning program that will continue to win to showcase whatever NFL skill sets he has.

Miami is all risk and almost no reward for him.

who would fit in the scenario youre saying?

So Richt would trust Bryant with 1 offseason in his system over Perry or Weldon who would each have 3? Not an indictment on Lil' Jon at all...

Does it make sense, thinking logically, for Perry, Weldon or Williams to transfer and sit out a year in reaction to Bryant coming to Miami? No, it does not.

But, does that mean that one or more of those guys won't transfer because they feel that Richt and the coaches disrespected them by bringing in Bryant to start at their expense? Or because they watched Malik get a bunch of chances to suck before getting pulled, while Weldon couldn't keep from getting suspended, Perry had a much shorter leash on the field than Rosier, or Williams couldn't get a chance to play while watching Weldon get suspended, Perry get suspended and play inconsistently, and Rosier suck, while watching someone his year, Trevor Lawrence, beat out the same QB that would be coming to Miami? Or because they realize, after watching our offense stagnate, while watching Richt blame everyone but himself, that they'd rather give it a shot somewhere else?

Ultimately, I don't think Bryant comes here, and so it may not be something to even consider, but I don't think that we can expect any of these guys to stay just because sitting out will waste a year. We've seen our guys leave early for the draft even though they shouldn't, and guys around the country transfer and have to sit out a year because they lost the starting QB competition (the QB at Nebraska comes to mind immediately), so I don't think that just because something doesn't make sense won't mean that a college kid, who feels ****ed/disrespected/lied to, etc., won't make the wrong choice.

The thing that is crazy to me is that clearly the staff feels they dont have the right 'fit' at QB. And not that maybe they need to modernize the offense to fit the player they recruited. Absolutely Amazing!!!

Do you honestly think Kelly Bryant would play behind our line men?
You guys are acting like Bryant is Tom Brady. He’s not a shot caller like that. Wherever he goes, the program will have plenty of holes. He’s not going to Alabaga. He’s going to a flawed program like UNC, Arkansas or Auburn.

Flawed comparison, Chise. Brady is a system quarterback.

Well said. And honestly, can you blame them? Especially Williams, imo.

Most likely. Perhaps a team out West...but his goal of more exposure will suffer.

So Perry and Williams transfer and sit out a year while Kelly is here for only 1 year. Makes sense
🙄

Richt with his decision to reach out to Bryant basically told Perry & Williams, YOU ARE NOT MY GUY !!!! This will not end well. Won’t be shocked AT ALL if Jarren is at U of Kentucky next year regardless of what Bryant does.
