Kelly Bryant scheduled to visit UM

Don't want him. We are not a 5th year qb away from anything. What is the point of a one-year rental at qb if you are not set to compete. All this would do is leave us going into the following year with an inexperienced qb. Lets get the young guns some pt.

Exactly. As usual, the sheep are clueless. I fully expect one of Perry, Williams, or Weldon to transfer. Whoever is 3rd in the spring out of that group is gone. But no one else needs to go anywhere. Even if Bryant does come and even if he does win the job, you're still only competing with 1 guy for the starting job in 2020. If you transfer, where are you going that gives you a better chance to play than that in 2020, because you're sitting out all of 2019.

Nothing about his game can make up for Reckt's talent-disabling system.

If he's stupid enough to sign, Reckt will convince Flake that all they needed was a QB like him and that no staff changes are needed.

So next year we would have a marginally better QB, offset by likely one of Nkosi or Jarren transferring, plus a talent-depleted defense, and one of the worst incoming classes in several years.
 
Bryant isn't coming here and even if he does, it would be stupid for Williams of Perry to transfer. They would have to sit out the 2019 season regardless. So, either stay and compete with Bryant or transfer and sit a year.

Not sure if we are going to make it to the spring without one leaving, my guess would be prior to bowl practice or right after if we make one.
 
Bryant is not nearly as good as some posters are making him out to be. Please stop with the "he won 12 games in 2017". If you look at Bryant's split numbers, he struggles to accurately throw the ball downfield. He is a dink and dunk passer and it is one of the reasons Clemson moved on from him. Getting Bryant does nothing but delay this program from actually moving forward. The fact Richt is going after him is just more evidence Richt has no idea what he is doing with the offense, especially the QBs. If Jarren is as special as this board makes him out to be, there is absolutely no reason to go after Bryant. If you can't have an elite QB ready by year 2, you shouldn't be coaching at this level.

why would they transfer? They would have to sit out a year anywhere they go, why not wait a year here?
 
Williams won’t transfer. He’s getting his RS this season and will be QB1 as RS sophomore. Worst case scenario

I said the minute Dabo announced Lawrence as the starter that Bryant would be Arkansas' QB in 2019.

But honestly, I know it's hard to believe, but Arkansas is actually worse than Miami. As much as he loves Chad Morris and that's the scheme for him, it's tough to spend your last year playing football in Fayetteville, Arkansas instead of Miami, Florida, and get the absolute **** kicked out of you while you do it. Arkansas is AWFUL.

I thought the same when I heard it the weekend he was visiting but that’s what he said
 
Don't want Bryant to come and don't want Richt to hire an OC at this point. I want his stubbornness to win out this offseason and minimal changes to be made. That way when we dumpster fire again next season, even our inept administration will have no choice but to act.

I've changed my stance on this off season. At this point change is bad, it buys him more time to "implement the changes".
