Katie turner assistant AD

You're right, coldcocked was the wrong word to use, but there is no way you can compare what she did to what Hayes did IMO. Let the Gator hierarchy handle the situation, no need to email her and all this other BS people on this board are advocating for. Enjoy the friggin win and all the chaos it has caused the Turds

I've made it clear, I am not comparing the action, I am comparing the way that similar (not identical) actions are dealt with and punished in 2024 compared to 1978. If you want to keep ignoring that distinction, it's on you.

Lots of dip****s on the board are trying to exaggerate what was said and what wasn't said.

I don't care if someone posts her work e-mail, it's a public record. I am gently and politely suggesting that people don't "go crazy" and do anything as silly as threaten her, since those e-mails ARE FOREVER.

We can politely disagree on the impact of "sending e-mails", but at opposite extremes I think we can agree that if NOBODY complains, it's very likely nothing happens, and if there is an AVALANCHE of complaints, then UF likely does something, even if it is minor.

And for God's sake, I don't even use Twitter, I don't even really know what a hashtag actually does. But I'm sure as **** going to joke about #FireKatieTurner because (a) I'm not actually doing anything in furtherance of my fake hashtag, and (b) I've already had fun poking @flagator86 over this.

It's still wrong what she did, regardless of what the final outcome will be in an HR sense.

Leave it to me to always keep it REAL with y'all. Here's my take....

MAAAAAN FVCK THAT BÏTCH. She should definitely get fired because SHE put herself in this situation. A woman going around pushing around not only players but coaches is not cool and is actually physical assault but leave it to y'all to let women do what they want because of size difference or whatever excuse y'all give these høes. Let it had been a male even laying a finger on a woman for doing something that was ACTUALLY LEGAL, he would be fired and most likely arrested before he could even make it back to the locker room. That **** was not security and even if she was, any player has the right to dap up any fan after the game. Recruit or not.

Now for the "too much to read" crowd, summary: fvck ufag.... and fvck her too for representing ufag.

So, counselor, you agree that there was no "coldcocking"?

I know what happened. It was the Gator Bowl, so you **** well know I was watching it live, the game was just up the road from me.

I watched it live as a kid as my friend/neighbor’s parents were buckeyes of all things.

To answer your question, the Clemson player wasn’t looking or expecting anything of the sort and Woody Hayes struck him unexpectedly.

I don’t agree with the definition of coldcock that you posted. It doesn’t have to be a knockout in my opinion. It’s essentially a violent sort of sucker punch - punching someone when they’re not looking or expecting anything of the sort.

Woody Hayes hit a guy who wasn’t looking given the circumstances. It wasn’t as violent as you envision in a fully executed sucker punch but it was worse than what this lady Turner did though what Turner did, in my opinion, constitutes a battery technically.

LMAO at the sensitivity in this thread. Oh my gosh, some of us are so ‘hard’ we’re gonna write a sternly worded email!

Woody Hayes’ ‘punch’. He threw a punch and connected. Did he hurt the Clemson player? No, of course not. Hayes was an old man and the player was more surprised than anything else. Hayes should have punched his QB on the sideline.

I need to see a picture before I get my panties in a bunch or not

The important question is whether Art Schlichter had placed a bet on whether Woody Hayes would punch Art Schlichter...

The only thing I'll say, that if it was YOUR kid that was screamed and physically contacted by some stranger, I don't think some people would be so cavalier about it as they would lead us to believe.

I would be asking questions, especially to her boss, like:

"Were there signs that indicated a safety zone around the recruits?"

"Did any of the recruits request our athletes to leave?"

"Did the athletes in question treat you in an abusive, threatening manner?"

"What is university policy regarding physical/verbal altercations with staff and student athletes?"

"Did she ask politely first for the athletes to leave the recruit area? If not, why didn't she?"

It was plenty dumb enough to put the recruits next to the visiting session. Our fans were probably making recruiting pitches to them all game, lol.

No, that’s what I’m saying. She’s getting killed on Twitter already. I’m sure her job is miserable. Honestly, she’s probably the only person in Gainesville that seemed to care. I’m not saying what she did was fine. But we kicked the **** out of them on the field. We don’t need to flood a random chicks work email with a thousand emails. We are on to bigger and better things. Emailing a staffer is next level petty imo
She could always issue a public apology to the players and coaches that she laid hands on.

So Katie is only 27 yrs old, & supposed to be a recruiting coordinator savant w/ her stints at Bama & UGA? Interesting; wonder was her reaction based upon part salty, & part she knew she f’d up w/ the seating arrangements for recruits.

Regardless, unprofessional x 10.

1. As I like to pride myself as a sports historian, respecting the past to appreciate or understand the present, that 1978 Clemson Team was a **** good team that yr, & their AP finish shows the ACC ain’t never been respected in CFB.

2. This is one of the most infamous moments in CFB history. What I loved about it is Woody pulled him back into the punch, & the punch was strategic w/ accuracy to go under his helmet. Then, when that had no effect, he immediately went for the choke! Lol. Savage.

3. I haven’t read through all of the pages, but hey, I’m here for the comparison between Katie & Woody. Lol.
