Bill Clark …..It's hard to evaluate G5 coaches - most successful ones are winning with someone else's guys that they didn't recruit. Recruiting at the G5 level is totally different than recruiting in the P5 level and he was essentially tasked with recruiting the same level of players that he did at Memphis and being expected to develop them better and win with them at a higher level in the ACC.
That's why it's smart to avoid G5 coaches at a place like Miami. Unless that person has been there 5+ years, got their own guys, proved they can sustain winning, and then on top of that they've got to agree to bring in new staff that more appropriate for a higher level. Tough decision for some guys that they're not willing to do.
