Can’t wait to see Saquon get on the field and light it up
He can’t block for shlt! And if you think I’m OK with sending him out there as running back number two with our offensive line issues, no sir!Call me crazy but maybe our best RB in the regular season last yr and our by far best receiving threat would be our best number 2 RBs and the lightning to Fletchers thunder.
But hey, just a thought....
Sounds like a QB we had here a couple years back...
I genuinely believe that Mario genuinely believes in Lyle
The heart wants what the heart wants
We certainly wouldn't want a RB on the field that completely misses a wide open free rusher that results in a sack, now would we!?He can’t block for shlt! And if you think I’m OK with sending him out there as running back number two with our offensive line issues, no sir!
The portal was not closed at the time, other than to our fans and staff that wrongly believed you could only build one way. Thank go we adapted our mindset. We will see if we built the trenches adequately or not for a title run or Lyle's presence may not matter either way.True. But when your choice is between Jake Garcia and a former ACC rookie of the year I can understand not letting him get poached by arguably the best program at the time.
Sometimes coaches just have "their guys". I'm just reading the tea leaves & IMO that looks like what's going on with Lyle.So now we’re getting psychological takes of Mario’s emotional make up? LOL
Is he stubborn? Yes. But I don’t take him as a softie.
Absolutely, and the running back that would allow that to happen more times than not, would be Pringle. So no, sir on that idea.We certainly wouldn't want a RB on the field that completely misses a wide open free rusher that results in a sack, now would we!?
We don’t even have Jordan Lyle props on FanDuel. Given the hype I woulda loved to put a green tree all American parlay inThe hype for Lyle is wild. Between DM, Lake, AR and Ryan, I'm expecting 250 and 3tds. Anything else and he's a bust

Based on what I saw from him last year and the reason he’s not in the game on pass plays this year. It amazes me with some of your Pringle slurpers, that you can’t see how terrible he is at blocking. It boggles my mind!Lmao
Based on... evidence? Guessing? Faith? ....?
I like Pringle, but he definitely looks like a liability as far as blocking. Fletch has whiffed at times, but overall he's a good blocker.Lmao

Pringle does it = can't play
Fletcher does it = he's elite
Can't make this up...
How about if the positives outweigh the negatives. Fletcher is better at pass pro, and still will have failures. He also provides literally ZERO to the pass game a s a threat. Pringle beings very positive outcomes as a pass threat, and may have slightly more pass pro failures. But does pringles benefits outweih his cons?.... I'll go with yes.

Fletcher is credited with 215 pass blocking snaps out of 720 total pass snaps. Of those 215 PB reps, he was credited with only actually being in a pass block rep with opportunity to allow a pressure on 198. So that is 29% of pass reps. So our Best pass blocker is already only asked to block <1/3rd the time. Thats #1.I like Pringle, but he definitely looks like a liability as far as blocking. Fletch has whiffed at times, but overall he's a good blocker.
I get rooting for Lyle - but "we'll need him" was being said last year. It turned out we were better off without him.I agree it all hinges on the trenches or it won’t matter who’s back there. But I think given the health of our backfield at the moment Lyle’s presence is needed. I am certainly rooting for him to turn it around because our long term success will depend on it (and getting the ol issues fixed).
Pringle has been hurt man...he tweaked his foot/ankle against FAMU as I recall (may have been Stanford).Fletcher is credited with 215 pass blocking snaps out of 720 total pass snaps. Of those 215 PB reps, he was credited with only actually being in a pass block rep with opportunity to allow a pressure on 198. So that is 29% of pass reps. He is credited with allowing 3 sacks and 8 pressures, and a 97.2 passblock efficiency%. However that has consistently decreased yearly for him. As a frosh - 98.1, soph - 97.8, Junior - 96.6, and now Senior so far 95.8....
Pringle meanwhile has only been even afforded 23 pass blocking snaps out of 78 total pass snaps, which is actually 31%. So in his limited snaps he's actually been asked to block at a slightly higher rate than Fletcher (for some dumb reason). On those he allowed 0 sacks and 2 pressures, and a 95.7 pass block efficiency%. Okay so clearly worse than Fletcher, right? Sure. Nobody is arguing he's a better pass blocker than Fletcher. But has he shown to be some miserable low effort pass blocker that is incapable? Also no. Anyone claiming otherwise it seems to me is purely basing it off of him losing legit 1 pass block rep....
Now the important part - Receiving Threat:
Fletcher in his career has 36 receptions on 47 targets (76.6%reception%) for 318 yards (8.8 y/rec) and 2 TDs. Most important stat though is he has 0.66 Y/RouteRun. He is credited with 7 drops (16.3% Drop Rate). Has forced 13 Missed Tackles (36% of receptions he makes a guy miss), and picked up 14 1st downs (30% of Targets lead to a 1st down) with a 108.3 QBrating when targeted.
Pringle has 7 receptions on 8 targets (87.5%reception%) for 98 yards (14 y/rec) and 1 TD. His Y/RouteRun is an excellent 1.92! And he is credited with 0 drops. He has forced 4 miss tackles (57% of receptions he makes a guy miss) and 6 1st downs (75% of TARGETS lead to a 1st down) with a 157.3 QBrating when targeted. If you didn't know perfect passer rating is 158.3...
So why is it so unreasonable to at least give Pringle to opportunity enough to fail as a pass blocker given he is such a significant upgrade as a receiving threat? That's been my point. And hey instead of asking Pringle to block 31% of the time, maybe you reduce that down to 25% of the time or less? Just a thought.
.... I'm talking in general for the entire season. Has nothing to do with a single specific game.Pringle has been hurt man...he tweaked his foot/ankle against FAMU as I recall (may have been Stanford).
