True. But when your choice is between Jake Garcia and a former ACC rookie of the year I can understand not letting him get poached by arguably the best program at the time.

We certainly wouldn't want a RB on the field that completely misses a wide open free rusher that results in a sack, now would we!?

The portal was not closed at the time, other than to our fans and staff that wrongly believed you could only build one way. Thank go we adapted our mindset. We will see if we built the trenches adequately or not for a title run or Lyle's presence may not matter either way.

Sometimes coaches just have "their guys". I'm just reading the tea leaves & IMO that looks like what's going on with Lyle.

Lyle's playing time & place on the depth chart are clearly based on what Mario thinks Lyle can be vs what he's actually shown on the field. It's projection over production.

Lyle had to be shelved due to performance in both his FR & SOPH years. It'll be interesting to see where Lyle is on the depth chart the next couple games.

It's not the best analogy - but if you play Fantasy Football...we've all had a guy we swear is great that we can't stop drafting every year - even though he's a letdown every year & your boys clown you for drafting him. Lyle is Mario's Kyle Pitts.

Absolutely, and the running back that would allow that to happen more times than not, would be Pringle. So no, sir on that idea.

Pringle does it = can't play
Fletcher does it = he's elite

Can't make this up...

How about if the positives outweigh the negatives. Fletcher is better at pass pro, and still will have failures. He also provides literally ZERO to the pass game a s a threat. Pringle beings very positive outcomes as a pass threat, and may have slightly more pass pro failures. But does pringles benefits outweih his cons?.... I'll go with yes.

Based on what I saw from him last year and the reason he’s not in the game on pass plays this year. It amazes me with some of your Pringle slurpers, that you can’t see how terrible he is at blocking. It boggles my mind!
