Johnnie Dixon

Based on everything I've read here (no inside information) I think you would have to be delusional to think he is coming here. I have said before that I want kids that want to be CANES. Not some dbag like MT last yr who made a choice and wasn't happy about it from day 1. Dixon is a great player but if he chooses osu ZERO ***** GIVEN! Next!

Kellen Winslow didn't want to be a Cane. I'd say he turned out OK.

I personally don't agree. He's made this such difficult process that at this point I think he's playing OSU. Maybe I'm wrong. Still think we snag him.

I'm sure it has happened many times. With all the problems of recent past NCAA and underachieving prima donnas and ***** hs coaches pushing kids elsewhere for self serving reasons and some scholly losses I feel like the climate right now should be no tolerance for game playing look at me recruits. I would rather AG say F U and fill his spot. Just my opinion fellas. Still love Dixon as a player but we set that tone when this recruiting season started( at least it appeared that we did) last year ain't happening again. If u wanna wait to announce fine but our coaches better have some assurances.

With a lesser prospect who was playing games, maybe. But not Dixon. He's a stud.

What level of stud is he? A Stacy Coley type stud? More like Philip Dorsett? Where does he stand? It's easier to find a Dorsett than a Coley. Is Dixon irreplaceable in this class so much that we can't find another WR like him next year? I think we can snag a few more with potential this year, like maybe the Jersey high jumper or somebody else. Maybe not in Dixon's class but with potential. There might be more like Dixon next year.

Dixon is as close to a sure thing as there is. Great all around WR. Those don't grow on trees.

I mean there is a huge middle ground between a talents me Coley n Dorsett. Dorsett is decent coley is special. Dixon is very very good. Not Coley but much better than Dorsett.

Stop overhyping him the kid hasn't produced up to his potential until these playoffs.. Dixon is a good prospect is he on Coley, Watkins, Cooper level? Nope... Those guys were top 40 sure fire studs who were sure things. Dixon is top 100-110 prospect and needs to work on his route running he's physically gifted and reminds me of a bigger Dorsett at 5'11 195..

I have to call bull**** here. Did you go to every game he played this year? Or watch every game on HUDL? Well I did. He produced up to his potential all year. Constantly played top notch defense and Parr struggled often during the regular season limiting the WRs, especially Johnnie because his biggest weakness was the deep ball. He had the arm but he couldn't put it on target. He missed a wide open Johnnie Dixon way downfield at least a dozen times. Parr didn't find his deep ball until the game before the playoffs.

HC says he doesn't hate Miami, lulz actions speak louder than words...we haven't gotten a Dweyer kid in forever

Because kids choosing another school over the weakish Miami program that has existed the last few years clearly means its the coaches fault.

kid looks strong and uses his hand very well to get off press coverage too.

why do you all of a sudden feel so good about him choosing the U?

Dixon is nothing like Dorsett. He doesn't rely purely on speed. And I never said he was on those other guys' levels.

While talking with the refs pre game last night a few coaches walked over and we discussed his recruitment and top 3 and they said "He's a cane." Among other things.

*Just to clarify. Jack was not one of the coaches in the discussion.
