Joe Rose - Decision coming today

We really need to have an annual CIS source awards. Or weakest sauce award.
The amount of sht being thrown on the wall and hoping it sticks this off-season is of epic gargantuan and andromeda size heap of bull sht I’ve ever witnessed. Worst part is someone is going to be right just by chance and then will start to post links to all the threads where they “told us so”.
Somewhere nearby DSJ is lurkin and laughin.

If he picks Jarren, he made a non-polictical, team first and long term decisions, assuming all three QBs are equal.

It's the best way to go, let's remember during the recruiting process that 2017 class essentially recruited him to come to UM not so much the coaching staff cause they were on his 7v7 team. He's one of the boys for sure too.

I am here. He is saying that he’s heard that the buzz is Williams. That is not definitively saying anything like “I know it’s going to be Jarren”.

Now it’s possible he’s trying to cover the fact that he has a source, because he was extremely confident that a decision has been made. Which is the first I’ve heard anyone say with certainty.

But also you can pretty much eliminate Perry, and take a 50-50 shot. You can say a decision has been made without ever finding out when the decision was actually made. We will probably just hear that it was “After the second crimmage”.

Sounds exactly like he’s trying to cover his source with things like definitively saying they have their guy and an announcement will be made today. Also, “word is Jarren will be the starter”. Joe rose knows

As tight as Manny kept the OC job where ALL the local experts were wrong, you guys think Manny would be careless enough to let this spill to Sloppy Joe?

Joe may have guessed right, he might’ve even read the tea leaves right, but it’s not because he’s got some super secret source that actually knows what’s going on. At least not in my opinion he doesn’t.

This is a different group of coaches, and my sense is Manny knows how to keep things in the house, and also knows when to let stuff leak for his advantage. I don’t think this is one of those situations where he lets something leak.

I disagree, but if I’m wrong that’s likely what he’s doing.

I heard it too. The "buzz" he's hearing on Jarren is no doubt in my mind the exact same information every single one of us on this board have heard. Anyone of us could've made that prediction.

As far as hearing that an announcement will be made today -- even if he's right I won't give him credit because he's 100% drunk. We all get lucky sometimes.

Manny doesn't owe or have to do anything for us but dammit I am ready for this whole QB battle to be behind us so the players and fans can start focusing on how the **** we are going to stomp the Gators in 12 days. I was all in on "Miami Martell" but at this point I don't give a **** who it is. None of them are world beaters it sounds like at this juncture so lets just pick one and roll.

I'm sorry but how exactly is a QB being named is going to help 'the fans' focus on stomping the Gators?

This needs to be purged from the CIS vocabulary.

We'll find out most likely who the starter is today, latest tomorrow. Ignoring all the hype and speculation, it seems to be a two-way race between Jarren and Tate. N'Kosi just seems to be too inconsistent with turnovers and the deep ball.

Per the limited public information we have, it seems that Jarren has been the most consistent QB in camp. Tate has shown flashes but still has to work out issues with his mechanics. Either way, the starter will have a very short leash. I imagine if Jarren was the starter that there would be some Tate packages.

You guys seem to be discounting that Manny runs a tighter ship when it comes to information,

He’s already proven it in the past.

Again I’m not saying that Joe is right or wrong. But he may just be basing this off of the same information we have. We don’t know.

But I do know Manny is not letting anything get in or out that he doesn’t want to get out. That’s been his short track record so far.
