Joe Milton

Sitkowski is a great get considering our depth at the position. He will have years to learn from Richt and brings an amazing pallet of skills/arm talent.

Yall making a big deal about this. There will be at least one qb in every class. So if stikowski cant cut it he wont play. And with his ranking he makes the class look good and keeps the buzz up.

If you look at their fundamentals - Artur is very polished with a high upside. Milton is more athletic, but has a lot of bad habits with footwork and inconsistent arm slot. He completed 46% of his passes last year. I would like to see how Artur does at IMG with a better offense and more skilled players to work with. Watching his film every throw seemed like it had to be perfect because there was very little separation with his receivers.

We need talented players to develop, where we don't need to rely on Freshmen it rather players that have been In the system 2-3 years before they start.

Milton would make a great TE...
Do you know if he even knows how to catch or run routes properly?

He's also not really all that fast either, he barely ever runs in his offense, so other than his size what makes you think he'd be a TE?

He'll be a good QB, he's just not take for Miami right now.

This and I think his athleticism is even overstated over sitkowski when you look over the numbers. sitkowski at 6'5 215 ran a 4.97 in the 40 and had a. 4.46 shuttle where Milton was 6'4.5 222 4.8 in the 40 and a 4.65 shuttle time

Sitkowski is going to be the guy.

Plus hopefully could open up the img pipeline.

Some kid from NJ who spends a year at IMG isn't opening up any pipeline. IMG is a mercenary academy. Guys from all over the world with little to no connection to anything.

Can't possibly hurt.
Could if the abundance of weapons we are targeting there don't find the success with him at the helm that they want. Then again they will get lots of opportunities to make tackles chasing his interceptions down.

First of all this kid is more than likely not going to start over Weldon or Perry so doubt he sees too much action. 2nd his mechanics are light years better than Miltons. Not sure what's going on upstairs but I trust Richt can get him right.

We can debate QB prospects all day every day, but nobody or coach can look into the future to know if they are making the right decision/selection. If we all selected a current Pro QB to start a franchise, 95% of those busters would not be your choice. Selecting a QB is like playing the lotto, it's all eligible numbers, but will they win anything significant?

No insights here my man, just looking at his measureables:

Milton tested at 6'4.5 222 4.8 40, 32.5 vert that is not bad, he could be able to get down to a 4.65 by college especially considering how bad the other times were at the event.

He plays QB so he should have a good understanding of the offense and what the QB is looking for.

Not saying he knows how to run routes or catch but a lot of QB convert to TE or WR in college. He has all the physical tools to do it.

That sounds good in theory, but Rick took QBs every year at UGA and wound up with a **** pile his last couple years there.

And his last yr he also got Jacob Eason the #1 QB in the nation.

Why Uga did not have great qb's the last few years...Because he allowed Bobo to select them...like tying up Ramsey before he went after Watson.

That was the last qb Richt recruited...bobo was gone then.
