Our players aint as good as people believe here those r facts and the draft says that.
No it’s not as cut and dry as that. Do we overrate some of them? Yes but There are absolutely some players that are overlooked at Miami period

Same dudes complaining about dudes from Murray State getting picked before Canes are the same dudes saying KJ Osbourne from Buffalo is the 2nd best receiever on our team..Meaning he would be the best iff JEff Thomas didnt come back...You cant explain that

Bill Clinton when he used to golf with his buddies as POTUS, And one of them followed a horrible shot with a great shot would say:

"Same Guy, Same Guy".

These people are same guy

It's a little bit of both. Fans always overrate our players but in some cases, the NFL over thinks its self. A guy like Jackson has been a productive player in a major conference for three years. He's raw and didn't test well but rushing the passer is rushing the passer. Those skills translate. Teams can get enamored with potential and fall in love with combine results and ignore actual play on an actual field. Also, if a dude can be productive using "only one move" how good could he be with a little more coaching and development?

The problem is, you had the big guns on CIS convincing people that we had more talent than LSU before we played them. A team that has significantly outrecruited us the past 5-6 years.

This has been going on for years, and the draft confirms it. We are not recruiting at a top ten level.

Our most talented players, to be drafted in the top 3-4 rounds, have to be outstanding at the combine to have a chance to be top 4 round players.

This season that would have been Willis and JJ, and they had disastrous post seasons and combines.

Willis really hurt himself with his post season decisions and at the combine. He was not ready.

They are value picks now.

Discount canes, that’s what the league sees nowadays with Miami prospects. Got to change this perception

I guess the CIS trope is Jackson is stiff, but with his size, frame and production, if he would have popped a little more at the combine, he’d probably be gone already. No later than 3rd.

There were several “events” including the 40, he had the ability to have done better. It would have been 7 day a week, 10 hours a day...but I know for a fact he didn’t put in that work. That’s on his agent.
Wtf, how about it’s on him. He’s a D1 player, he knows that hard work got him there. Harder work gets you to the next level. HE SHOULD KNOW THIS.but, yes his douchebag agent should also know this. Pretty sorry all around.

Nothing...and i dont care what their draft grades are as long as they win HERE. Thats the problem most of our fan base is stuck on some NFL u crap that is exactly that...crap. Could care less about that sh*t what they do here?.

our fans love to say, oh miami sends this many guys to the league and that many, then complain if they declare early. you can't promise the dream fo the NFL to recruits and tout it every second and then not want them to turn early, whether misguided or not in the decision making process by the kid. you want to be NFL U, then you're going to lose guys that shouldn't leave earlier than they're ready. it is what it is.

We should have six draft picks today, which is still a bunch (way beyond what a 7-win team should have).

We need to start producing more impact first round talent, but Willis and JJ were All-Americans. They certainly made a big impact at the college level. And our first rounders haven’t exactly set the world on fire lately.

its his agents fault? shouldn't joe jax know he should've been working to improve his combine and pro day numbers from the moment he declared? i find it hard to blame anyone other than the player, himself, if it was a lack of work that cost him draft positioning.

our first rounders have been pretty trash. flowers is a laughing stock. burns is on the bench. dorsett is barely on a roster and if it weren't for brady making shopping carts useful as WRs, he'd be in the AFL. Njoku, i still have hope for esp with baker. also cleveland is where careers go to die
