Joe Jackson

The bottom line is that it’s pathetic to see dudes from places like Soiux Falls, Murray State, Old Dominion, etc. come off the board when not a single Hurricane has been picked through 3 rounds. It’s ridiculous.
That’s the ridiculous part about it. Yes Miami has guys with more talent than these guys but the nfl guys keep getting value cane picks. Sh*t got to stop

there. fixed it for you.

I had to include the agent, because sometimes these guys don’t know exactly what they need to do. They have agents telling them how great they are, how good they look, how they were a sure bet to be taken in the second or third round, and they get lulled into a sense of false security.

You do need people telling you “look you got to work on the shuttle, you got a work on your 40, this is a full-time job until the combine in March or April when ever they do it.”

Not really surprised Willis is still on the board. Joe made a bad decision, probably had his mind made up before the season started I don't know his family situation so maybe he had to but most of these kids have a 3 year and out mindset before they sign anywhere.

We need to start developing talent better. Going into year 4 for the defensive staff and It will be interesting to see where guys like Pink and Shaq go. Been in the system for 4 years.
Y'all are blaming player development for situations where guys have obvious limitations. Jackson is stiff as **** and has durability concerns. Shaq does not fit what the league is trending towards in terms of linebacker, he's not great in coverage and that has a lot to do with his physical limitations. As good as Pink's instincts are, he is not going to test like an elite/high level NFL starter. What could the staff do that's going to change this?

So is it pathetic when Ja Morant potentially goes picks 1-3 in the NBA draft this summer and guys from powerhouses like Unc and Kentucky go after him? Doesn’t mean a **** thing what school you come from.

A lot of people said when Shaq signed here he’d be a first round pick. He’d go rounds 6-UDFA this year and quite honest he may not move up much next years draft.

Jackson is a plus athlete, but the nfl is full of them. He didnt stand out at anything in particular. Not developed technically enough, not a manimal, not fluid enough, and went 3 and out so didnt stay to fully develop. Nothing surprising there. UM fans overhype most of our guys. Most fan bases do.

If you listened to this board, it’s all a conspiracy of dumb that the nfl didnt draft several of our guys in the first round. All the teams must be in on it.

Andd....your currently overhyping rousseau a guy who has done NOTHING.

Dudes are straight up delusional. We have some good talent but these guys have been drafted at the right spots these last few years. We've had mostly day 3 NFL talent. Any way that you shake it. The roster for this upcoming season is probably the most talented roster on paper that we've had in a while. Guys are just young.

End of the day, if he came back and had any, any kind of production...the reality of it is he would've been productive and rotated frequently. He goes at or where Major 9 went in the draft.

This is exactly right they enter the draft as a junior or senior it doesn't really matter because they don't fit the mold of a top pick athletically. There's nothing an extra year can do to fix that. Starts with recruiting I think more of an emphasis should be put into a threshold athletically because those are the players that will be the early round picks if developed properly
