Joe Brady

The intent/plan and the execution are different things.

Sure, but a bad plan is one that can't be executed. Shying away from a guy like Brady would be foolish. Sure Manny and fans would like a big time experienced OC but that can't be executed in my opinion.

If you're Manny Diaz.

You've basically got one year.

You've got to swing for the fences.

You can't bring Enos back...you might has well just quit and not waste anyone's time. You can't hire some conservative nonsense. The team isn't built for that to succeed in one year.

Bring in a spread guy...see if you can't start just outscoring teams. Your defense isn't enough to outscore teams when you're scoring 17 points.

Bring in someone who can implement a spread offense to at least be respectable until you've got the people developed well enough to phase in your desired offense. That requires a truly knowledgeable coordinator, not a one trick pony.

This guy's stock is rocketing, but this isn't a hire Manny should make. He's a 30 year old coach with very limited experience and has never called plays. Manny is on thin ice. He needs to hire someone with a proven track record. He can't hire an unknown. Under different circumstances he could take a chance, but not now, not after this season.
That's exact why you make the hire. Manny is ****ed if he doesn't completely turn this thing around, he should be aggressive and swing for the fences.
