That was my first thought as well. Obviously this was dealt with last year, but when new coach comes on board, DJ or his party had to go to them and have it revisited. And knowing Lane, there was probably the fear of DJ going to portal if he didnt get his way.

The simple fact is that LSU promised him something, and LSU honored that promise for a while, and now Lane Train has broken that promise.

Daniels may be a piece of ****, his mother may be a piece of ****, but the biggest piece of **** of all is Lane Train.

The difference is that Miami has these conversations with the players BEFORE this **** goes down.

Also, Gino Torretta's number was not retired until November 18, 2023, during the regular season home finale.

Actually yeah, he was. Didn't pull this bs but essentially his point was, as most logical people would think, don't call it a retirement if people are still gonna use the # & brought up 10 as an example. Just have it be like a ring of honor situation, which it essentially is.
