I understand if LSU is breaking a promise. That’s unfortunate. But his ego (or his mom) seems to be giving him a god complex as if he should be worshipped at LSU. Which if they’re continually bragging, showing clips, displaying trophies, etc. is exactly what LSU would be doing for Daniels. Now he’s made himself an enemy to all of Baton Rogue and can’t show his face again. As @dycane said earlier, really poor unforced error.

Miami may “retire” some numbers for significant achievement, but there’s too many players to actually not use that number ever again. Shoot if Miami won’t retire #26 permanently, then no one else deserves their number retired either. If anything it should be seen as an honor to wear a former greats number. A greater example to live up to.
