And Daniels only had two top 15 picks at WR in Nabors and BTJ, and a top 5 pick at OT in Will Campbell and 2 more top 6 picks in CB and DT in Stingley JR and Maason Smith.

You don't get your jersey retired for having 4 and then 3 losses plus sitting out the last game of your career, even if you win the Heisman.

Burrow didn't have his jersey retired. What is the point you are trying to make? My point was clearly LSU won the title Burrow won the Heisman. They told both the number wouldn't be used.

Very ironical. He had an agent who guided him through college — for free — then his mom fired him before the draft. That guy now represents DJ. You can’t make this **** up.

I believe in a “Partial” Retired Jersey. Meaning only productive players get that number. Let’s say Deion Sanders played for Miami and he wore 21. If Fred wanted to rock #21 then he could because he the best DB on the team.

Or only the best safety who has proven production gets #26

If you are competing for titles, retiring numbers in college is dumb. Every year you are recruiting the next Ray Lewis, Hester or Taylor

Your hatred of Lane is clouding your judgment, friend.

LSU did not promise Daniels anything. At most (and this remains the subject of fair scrutiny) someone at LSU made a promise to Daniels. Was it Brian Kelly (LSU's coach from 2022-2025)? The same guy who promised DJ Pickett the same number a few months after Daniels won the Heisman in order to get Picket to sign back in 2024? Well, he's gone. Was it possibly LSU's Scott Woodward (LSU's former AD form 2019-2025)? He's gone, too. Some other nefarious promise-breaker on Kelly's staff? Who knows... they are also likely gone from LSU.

But, what we do know is Daniels believes he was promised something, and DJ Pickett was promised something mutually exclusive with what Daniels believes he was promised. Lane (who I acknowledge is a huge *******) shows up and has to deal with the aftermath and make a decision. He picks in favor of the kid on his team who can help him on Saturdays (for purely selfish reasons, I am sure). But it seems pretty clear that if those promises were made, they were both made under Kelly's watch.

So, Lane Train is a piece of ****, his mother is a piece of ****, Daniels is a piece of ****, but Brian Kelly is the biggest piece of ****.
