Get your story straight. You made mention of Tate defiencies due to his height. You made no mention of playing behind 4 OL headed to the NFL draft. What if we put Rosier behind OU's offensive line and he had Riley as an OC? Do you not think he would've performed a lot better as well. Keep in context of your own narrative.

That is a problem. Kids have people who tell them that they have a Right to Playing Time right out of 12th Grade, so they transfer to some Mid-Major where they might get noticed.

Manny is taking advantage of the exact problem that you point out. I think Williams should stay and get the coaching he needs. But I’m not Williams.

Stop with the anecdotal garbage. Martell was 3rd sting behind Haskins and Burrows before Burrows transferred. That was fact. Joe Burrows is no world beater nor is Martell at this point in his career.

Here's your retort. Martell couldn't beat out Joe Burrows. Burrows is just serviceable nothing special.

Who were the best five passers in the country over 13 games last year year?

Grier
Haskins
Minshew

Three of those guys, including the Heisman winner were transfers.

Baker Mayfield, the first pick of the draft and last year’s Heisman winter was a transfer.

There is no transfer stigma anymore. It’s a numbers and time game only.

I don't promote racism in any way. But the ability to use that as an eligibility waiver is mind-boggling.

I can see both ways. first off, he redshirted in 2017 and that was Burrow's 3rd year at OSU. In 2018, he was the backup to Haskins. My only guess was that Fields was guaranteed the starting job, OSU had strong inklings that he was going to get the waiver and Day basically told Tate that his offense was not going to suit him.

All that said, yeah, he decided to bolt before Fields even stepped foot on campus.

Why are you quoting guys that don't even support your argument. Martell was behind Haskins and Burrows. He couldn't beat out Burrows for the backup job. He only became the backup because Burrow transferred to LSU. Burrows is nothing special.

This transfers suck or he couldn't beat out so and so ( all really good QBs as well ) arguement is paper thin. Just not even a debatable thing. Martell is an elite talent and very much a Baker Mayfield clone .

Yes martell sucks because as a freshman he didn’t start behind JT, and a sophomore didn’t jump ahead of a guy that finished top 3 in the heisman and is a first round draft pick come April. Being behind burrows coming out of spring means nothing, they were trying to prevent him from transferring.

Man you’re just refusing to get it.

Who gives a **** about Burrows and last year. Once these guys burn their redshirt it’s a here and now proposition.

It’s not like a RB, WR or LB. There is no rotation or down and distance substitution. You’re the starter or you sit the entire game and maybe the season.

You are taking one meaningless depth chart from another season and trying to make it mean something when it obviously doesn’t.
