Jarren Williams Suspended

If Saban, Meyer, Dabo, or Jimbos QB did whatever you are saying Jarren did. He would not be suspended.
Late to a meeting or/and practice as a true fresh..no they’d be suspended but in a diff way..there would be no chance of them to play. I don’t think they’d travel with the team on a road game..can’t be late to meetings and practices for no reason. Better have a good reason

If Tua was late to a meeting last year or Trevor Lawrence when he was still competing with Kelly for the starting job he would not have been suspended. Forced to run extra laps or some other sort of punishment. Sure. Getting suspended for a game. Not a chance.

If any of those teams had a QB that is very likely to start the following year or atleast compete for the spot and he had a chance to get playing time in one of these BS games at the end of the season. They would not suspend him.

Well..I bet those cats weren’t late to a meeting or practice so u can’t say that...that can’t be ok. Make it hurt. I’ve been suspended b4 for skipping class and going to ihop for the free pa cakes..them ***** was good asf..but not worth missing a game lol..

They may not have, but I am saying IF they were late they wouldn't have been suspended. Yah, but I am assuming you were not the QB on a team that has plans of winning a P5 conferance Championship next year.

Yo I’m sorry...late is late. Rules are rules. Don’t break them. There are consequences. Just do what you’re supposed to and don’t worry.

I know the new gen won’t agree. But **** it...you agreed to something, abide by it.

Nope. Sure wasn’t. Wasn’t even football. It was baseball lol. Was starting SS and batting over .500 but that aint the point 😂..point is accountability. If you think Saban would put up with a true fresh being late to a practice or meeting in a down year your highly mistaken. You nip that in the *** during seasons like these. And he’s not the starting QB or even the back up so the Tua and Lawrence argument is mute..think bama got ****** showing up late for a practice and getting PT..nope. They might not get suspended officially but best believe they in the dog house and won’t see the field bruh..id rather a coach go the suspension route rather then the dog house route..there is a diff

Lol. I agree with you to a point. Obviously players should not be skipping practice or showing up late or anything like that, BUT if they are going to give the entire team the best chance of winning a game they should still play. They should recieve other types of punishment besides suspensions. They don't have to go in the doghouse either. Make the player run an extra 50 gassers. Give them a curfew so they can't get ***** for a whole week. That is way worse punishment than missing a game and it doesn't hurt the team. I am not saying you give the guy a pat on the back and say good job for missing practice. You need to find other ways to punish the kid while still giving yourself the best chance of winning.

Ok..if your point is it’s a guy like Tua. Who for whatever reason showed up late this week to a meeting. Then no he not getting suspended. Give him some gassers. But Tua has built up trust. And if he late it might be a legit excuse for it. But he needs gassers anyway. My point is Jdub at this point ain’t Tua and is barely 3rd on the depth chart. Soo yea that ***** should be suspended and run gassers 😂

I really don't see how this program can continue like this and its only going to get worse. The administration needs to negotiate a package that will allow Richt to step down and retire with dignity while he still has some left.

What I saw last night was a team that hasn't thrown in the towel. Granted, it was an opponent decimated on D by injuries and graduation. In a tough environment, O started out slow but found some success. Same with the D. Manny made the usual half time adjustments and VagTech was held scoreless in the 2nd half.

I saw our players celebrating on the sidelines after a big play - offense and defense together.

Do changes still need to happen? Absolutely! It was a good win for the players and will help in the long run. As young as our team is, getting to a bowl game - no matter where - was absolutely necessary for the underclassmen to get more reps and practice time.

So some don't like the suspension? Do you really think being suspended from a game (one he was pretty much likely never to play in) was the first punishment he's gotten? As in this was the first time it's ever happened? Obviously there is a pattern or this was something a bit more serious.

Either way, rules are rules. If you know what they are, then there's no room for complaint when you break them and get caught. You punish everyone the same, end of story, and no questions asked.

He didnt miss one single practice. He missed meetings. Not gonna go into the rest but hes certainly not the only qb we have who's missed a meeting or two at some point... but as has been explained to him if you wanna suceed you take excuses out of the equation & that's a dual sided coin. Kids fed up & cant blame him.

I get that he's fed up, i do - i have been a huge advocate of giving him a shot over Kosi this year bc i feel he has the most potential of any QB on the roster.

That said, skipping meetings is putting yourself before the team and will have the exact opposite effect that he wants. He's a freshman. He needs to be in there putting in work and leading by example. If Kosi skips, show you are more responsible and a better leader. If Kosi doesn't watch film, show you are a film rat. If after doing that over and over you are still behind the other guy and want to leave, fine. At least you put in the effort and didn't expect something to be handed to you. You can leave knowing you gave the coaches everything they needed to make the right decision and they failed. I still don't think you should do that after one year, but that's just me.

If you don't suspend players late to meetings unless they are huge impact players then you aren't a good coach. People would start thinking things like that don't matter or that coaches favor one player over another.

He should be held accountable. But accountability needs to happen at all levels.

Missed practices
Missed meetings
Being late
Penalties
Missed assignments
Failure to gameplan
Nepotism...

All 3 of Richt's hand-picked QB recruits have now been suspended. This all turns right back on Richt.

Wouldn't blame Williams if he checked out in his preparation, knowing Richt was never going to play him this season.

NOT true.....Richt said earlier in the week that Williams was going to get in the game. Another dumb immature move by Jarren (box of rocks anyone?)

EVERY SINGLE QB ON THE ROOSTER HAS BEEN SUSPENDED THIS SEASON EXCEPT FOR THE BASEBALL PLAYER!!!!!!!

That's because Malik works hard & doesn't have his head up his *** and also has a father who would kill him if he got suspended.
