James Coley Continues to impress and improve.

Ive had no issues with Coley at all. Stud recruiter, solid developer so far with kaaya, eye for talent.. No o-coor calls a perfect game.

A Chud HC with Coley remaining as OC would probably work well. I think you have to keep Coley no matter what based on his recruiting acumen alone.

I would like for Coley to be kept. Besides him being a monster recruiter/talent evaluator; he's relatively inexperienced at calling plays and I think he's showing improvement. I have no problems with him at all, keep Coley and Ice Harris, everyone else can GTFO.

What!!!! Are ya'll serious? Coley would not be regarded as a good OC in high school ball. Offense is basic and predictable! Inconsistent in all phases. Worst Bubble Screen coach at any level. Terrible situation play caller. Horrible when it comes to training players in the execution of offensive football. The only holdovers should be Ice and that other HS coach for local talent base and Hurlie because he can close. I'll even donate $1000 to a fund to pay off Al's contract.

I think there is hope for Coley. I think he has shown improvement this year and this is only his 2nd year calling plays. Everyone on the other side of the ball save for recruiting beast Hurlie Brown need to GTFO

Miami guys Coley , Ice, Beard, Baez, Hurlie stay. Kehoe and Carroll I could take or leave. Temple leaves (Folden, Duh, Jethro, Paul Williams). Miami guys can hold the recruiting down during the transition to Butch.

Don't kid yourselves. Corley is a terrible coordinator. He might swing it as a QB coach.

Our 3rd down percentage was horrible again last night.

Duke got FOUR carries in the second half against a horrid run defense that he gashed in the first half. Why?

Not impressed with Coley at all. We scored 17 points.

They have played 5 games so far, and we scored the least amount of points against them than any team they have played.

I will say it again. Love him as a recruiter of SF, but should not be an OC of any major college team.

I am convinced that the D side does not watch film. Seriously. I believe Golden and NoD think so highly of themselves that they could not possibly have anything to learn from any other teams approach or performance.

Goldens constant emphasis of being in a bunker and shutting the world out is taken to the extreme - including not watching film on the D side.

There is no other explanation as to the rank incompetence we are witnessing.

Very good point that I don't think gets talked about enough. Once that bunker mentality set in it has never been shaken even though the cause "Cloud" of the bunker mentality is long gone.

Nothing like a wide receiver screen on a crucial 3rd down late in the game. No coach should be safe on this staff.

Completely agree.

I like Coley...and he may eventually become a decent CONSISTENT OC...but with Duke Johnson, and QB that is playing pretty **** well, and a wealth of talent at WR...his offense should simply out talent people. Calling double reverses into pressure and tunnel screens into goal line pressure and congestion tells me the guy has a ways to go...

That said, if we had one **** of a DC putting an attacking product on the field, it would be much harder to critique Coley's few ridiculous play calls because they wouldn't be so crucial.

Once again the ****** Defensive performance clouds the Offense. Had our D played "good enough to win" everyone would be killing Coley. That was a bad GT Defense.

Scored 17 points because Miami's offense barely had any possessions. Miami's offense had over 7 yards per play last night.

No one is saying Coley is the greatest OC in the world. But he is at least growing and adapting and getting better. The game planning and play calling are night and from Louisville to now. He' showing growth and that is a positive when combined with his recruiting prowess. Sure, you can nitpick and find bad things here and there but you can do that with any coach, even the great ones.

Agreed Coley has improved. But he isn't an Miami caliber OC just yet. His red zone play calling leaves something to be desired...

With the weapons he has we should be scoring 40+ every game.
