Brady Cook had a mediocre season while the Tigers' defense carried the day. Cook is returning for one more year from torn labrum surgery, which will place high emphasis on Drinkwitz to figure it out fast. He is relinquishing play calling duties with the hiring of OC/QB coach Kirby Moore from Fresno St.

The fans clamored for TrFr Sam Horn to be their guy this past season. Horn, a two sport star from GA, never saw the field. Horn is obviously a wildcard with no game experience, but should gain confidence as an impact player for the Mizzou baseball team this spring.

Garcia, as a Sr at Grayson (GA) HS in 2020, played a meh game against Horn's Collins Hill (GA) team. Horn threw for 100 more yards, but had 2 INTs.

Garcia is definitely an upgrade over Cook. A starter's role is not a given by any means, but Garcia will have a legit shot beginning this spring.

Cook’s inability to throw into open windows is why they let Georgia hang around and eventually win that game. It was amazing that Dominic Lovett was able to have as good of a year as he did. Cook got better towards the end of the year but an upgrade is needed for Drink to keep his job for sure.

We have a new OC every 2 years. What recent starting QB has had the same OC here for 3-4 years? Probably none because no head coaches last that long for us.

What’s the connection there besides Blake Baker? Is he a shoe in to start there?

No. They picked up a very good QB in 2022 and a 4-star this cycle. I bet he flounders there (while living in Mizzu)

Jake gonna do good in Missouri. He a good QB and a fighter. Even when he could have sat it out he battled hard. He needed a fresh start. Our OC single handily screwed up 2 good QBs.
