An ol isnt dependent on sh*t...OL 's can be drafted from a div 2 school it doesnt really matter. Im willing to bet we would be in instant play with whomever is the top OL that enters the portal.

We've got basic at wr in the portal the last two cycles because we havent had a a qb locked in time.

I have Pepe as more so a day 1 ready guy than Cantwell. But thats been my opinion. There isnt just 2 day 1 ready guys in the nation lol

Depending on the portal to cover up recruiting misses doesn’t work when you miss and miss evals as much as we have. All spring practice insiders were hyping unnamed big time receivers hoping in the spring portal and none did. Recruit high school better that’s really what it boils down to.

He’s better than any random 3 star our media is about to hype that our staff is so excited about in a week because they missed out on their main targets.

Obviously, Georgia has been recruiting at a higher level than Miami for a number of years, so can argue the numbers are skewed - but UNOFFICIALLY. . .
- Georgia had an average line at best last season and had an OL taken in the 2nd and two in the third. We had Rivers in the 5th
- Kirby 9 yrs at Georgia: 14 OL drafted, 4 1st round, 8 1st-3rd round
- Mario 7 yrs (3Miami/4 Oregon): 5 OL drafted, 1 1st round, 1 1st-3rd round

If you don't know the answer to that, you never will.

Let's just say "illicit money" has entered the conversation. Once it gets to THAT level of competition, it is no longer about "relationships" or "position gurus".

Perhaps you should consider what the purpose of the "SEC/Big 10 pre-commit OV" actually is.

It is an in-person/no-physical evidence/on-campus cash delivery system.

Nothing more, nothing less.

We needed a ready to play OT and two ready to play guards. dont think we need two ready to play guards. The Guards i expect to land though are guys that i think push right away for early time.

Im in the philosophy that you PAY for bookend tackles, qb, high end dl in the portal. Whatever you were expected to pay Cantwell and Pepe can be set a side for a plug n play tackle. I personally would be going after portal ol regardless of landing either of those 2 any way.

* I personally dont think its the end of the world if we dont land em. But from a recruiting "looks" persepective it will look bad so i understand the posters that may feel that way.

If your the big dog elite recruiter you should be landing the op of your board every class on the ol. Cantwell and Pepe were top of the board.
