Of course they will/have. I wrote exactly what the excuses would be and they have all been regurgitated already.

With that being said, I would all the Mario/Mirabal apologists who claim they are the best OL coaches/recruiters in the country, to explain to us simpletons how in a year we are likely replacing both tackles, have no problem starting TFR, are paying more than anyone else for their services, with the ability to play for the "best OL coaches" will possibly not land their #1 and #2 targets.

I think Cantwell will be good eventually but being freakish strong vs high schoolers compared to SEC DL is a different story. And if you watch his film he isn't super comfortable being on an island. Will he improve ? Surely, but he isn't a perfect prospect. And Pepe is not the physical freak Cantwell is. You can never assume every OL guy will grow the same.

No one is a perfect prospect but these are dudes elite programs stay elite with both are huge misses with no replacements even close to their potential

I already told @gogeta4 the reason this hurts is all the other guys we are targeting are a dropoff in comparison to Cantwell & Pepe but neither of them are as ready day 1 as Francis was.
 
this reminds me of the time we missed both tyson campbell and pat surtain
but landed "elite 4 star" al blades and 4 stary DJ ivey who just needed development
and we know how that turned out

Pepe is very close to it. For me personally, Pepe is a bigger miss. Very disappointed we struck out with him.

Do they not think it’s going to potentially run Cantwell off with all these post from former alums and fans underneath the tweets blowing up his phone? If I was an 18 yo kid, the pressure would bother me. Ngl
 
Writing seems on the wall for Georgia, if he does commit there we will have missed on our Top 2 OT targets. Who do we pivot to if this were to happen? Who is our OT3 in this class?

That comes with recruiting he's the number one recruit in all of America, Miami aint the only one tweeting him lol
