it's too quiet ... i think we got a good team

Imagine spending hours per day on a message board of a program you loathe as much as you do just because being a douchey contrarian gets your rocks off.

Sad.

Miami should have an above average special teams at minimum with the potential to be very good - great with the game breaker returners and added talent for coverage teams.

He’s the kid who keeps flicking the back of your ear while waiting in line for the drinking fountain after PE only for you to turn around and punch him in the stomach, which leads to an Oscar Award winning performance so that you get in trouble with the teacher…. and while getting scolded, you look over and see him smiling.
He’s the guy who screams “HIT HIM!” at the bar when two dudes are getting in each other’s face, then leaves quickly as soon as the first fist flies.
He’s the sort who complains during a BJ, always capable of finding the negative in the most positive of situations.
His consistency is admirable.
The shame is that every once in a while he says something brilliant, but because he’s such a sniveling D-bag, many people scroll on by or don’t take note cuz he’s on “ignore.”

C'est la vie.

There is more internal confidence than I can remember. Time will tell, but Mario is in an unusually chipper mood (with his usual intensity and urgency).
it's like a measured optimism ... we got something but lets keep these crazy expectations and proclamations under control ... a testament to the culture how buttoned up we are to be honest ... from the players to the hurricane media

Ingredients are in... how it cooks... we shall see.

As they say, we shall see after the first punch in the mouth, if the plan still holds.

Open against a consensus top-10, many say top-5 team in the nation.

In-state rival who many rate as top-15.

Archrival away in the game thereafter.

8 straight conference games to end the year.

7 consective games to end the year.

Last two games away in the freezing cold.

You win big against this schedule, you're a **** good team. You go to a playoff against this schedule, you will have earned it. This **** is no joke.

The trenches look very good with talent and depth with probably only the 4th rotational DT being a question mark of who wants to take the job and run away with it.

Toss in a QB who has played in big games and excelled I can see why he would be more “chipper”

Mario better come out passing. We know both of these teams are stacking the box. If we come out running 1st, 2nd with inside zone( I will not tote the company line) and passing on 3rd with Carson Beck against a stacked box, I will be on 🔥 immediately. This isn't a big deal to him. Pass them out of the box and keep them honest. My whole focus right now is worrying about our rush D that I can't do anything about. I think Carson can have a good game, if these young players can stay calm and focused. I am still debating on drinking for tailgating and in the stadium. In the 17 game, one of the few, I didn't tailgate for and I had 3, maybe 4 stadium beers, so I was much more focused than 3 hrs of drinking before the game.

I'd say biggest risks are:
- Beck Interception problem and playing poor under pressure doesn't improve from last season
- WRs are talented but inconsistent
- Mario reverts back to 22/23 form in his decision making regarding aggressiveness/decision making. I liked his decisions last season. He has to keep it up.
- Safety opposite Poyser doesn't perform well and the depth is too inexperienced/inconsistent.
- DT Depth

Overall I think we have a very good team this year. I absolutely could see us run the table. Getting turnovers and dumb penalties under control will be key.

There's this kid, Upshaw. Freshman WR. Supposed Wunderkind. I keep hearing that the coaches are amazed at his talent and that he's broken out at Camp.

Do not be surprised if we've got a diamond WR that suddenly shines bright on Aug. 31.

Nobody is looking his way. BTW, Ny Carr hasn't been heard from in some time, either.
Elite after the catch. Almost RB-like setting up blockers and breaking arm tackles.
