Its Ok Guys...Its OK

we don't absolutely NEED rudolph or lane but it would be pretty bad if lost lane dixon rudolph and corey holmes

Yeah, outrecruited by a coach who is having an affair with Jack Daniels.

Recruiting is a dirty business and the solution is simple: Golden should have convinced Daniels to cheat on Urban with him. Dixon would have been ours...

We aren't getting Rudolph and we got outrecruited for our top WR target who had been on campus over ten times. It's not okay; stuff like this raises serious questions about this staff's ability to close on highly regarded local kids.

Yeah, outrecruited by a coach who is having an affair with Jack Daniels. What happens in two weeks that a kid who has been leaning Miami suddenly decides to commit to a program that is not known for it's pass heavy offense and is located in the " green pastures" of the midwest?? The idiots on here!

So then why did our coaches make Dixon their #1 target? They couldn't overcome a high school coach even though they had the kid on campus over 10 times?

Garbage strategy.

Just stop recruiting Dwyer

Jsck Daniels will always steer them away. He abdolutely HATES Miami

lol. Yawn. Truth hurts, huh?

Not at all. Its just an flawed, lazy statement that is continously thrown around on here. Top 5 class right now, multiple studs from S. FL. Multiple studs pulled from here the past couple years. There will always be misses, and JD said himself he wanted out of here. Whether its true or not, nobody here knows the real reasons or what went into his recruitment. Its all pure speculation.

Of course JD wanted out of here. He was convinced that was the best option. Golden got outrecruited.

We just lost our top WR target. We're going to lose the 3 top WR's in south florida. We're missing out on the top 2 RB's. We lost our top defensive target last year. But hey everything is peachy and it's a "lazy statement." Actually, the only lazy statement is yours.

But what about the flip side of the great things Golden and staff have done in recruiting? A true picture of Miami recruiting would show both the good and the bad. Seems as if you only see the negative.

For example, you say "We lost our top defensive target last year." Well, Miami got their top defensive target this year.

"[M]issing out on the top 2 RB's." I'd say that Yearby is one of those. Even if you personally don't think he is, many others do so it isn't some homerish statement to think Miami is getting 1 of the 2 top RBs.

Miami recruiting, which has missed on some players, isn't in the dire situation you make it out to be.

Sorry, he may not be Randy Moss part deux, but these are the kids we need to close on consistently to get back up top the mountain.

Yeah, but just how many more kids can we take this year? I want JC more; we need defense. Cook would be a huge get but even if we don't get him we have Duke, Joe and hoepfully Brandon sticks. My list would have JC first then Cook then more D, and only then another WR. Cook might be better players but JC fit where our needs are the biggest. Dixon was more of "don't want anyone esle to have him."

where is the mysterious dwyer troll? LMAO at all you sapps that thought that Dwyer kid had some kind special insight.

How do you know who the targets are? What the strategy is? LOL give me a break.

Tell me please, what you would do different here? You act as though this staff has not proven that it can recruit at a high level. Do you really think Golden and Co. didn't give their best pitch? Are you suggesting we fire everybody and bring in a better closer as coach? Should Golden go take some offseason lessons from Meyer and Saban on how to close? What is your end game, aside from incecive complaiing?

What is the point of b***ing and moaning about it. The kid chose to go elsewhere. End of story. You have ZERO idea what went into that decision. None whatsoever. Maybe he was convinced it was a better opportunity as OSU. It wouldn't be the first time and will not be the last. Miami is always going to lose some kids. Yet we still have a top 5 class in the NATION, and could add to that in the next 2 months. Complaining and throwing out baseless statements brings nothing to the board.

We also got the #1 CB in the country the year before last (Howard)...people overstate the misses and understate the hits...

Lose a recruit...."Oh the Head Coach hates us!"

Jesus you people sound ******* pathetic.

If Daniels can convince Dixon to Urbs even after all the love we showed him, then Walsh should be able to do the same for us with Rudolph, right?

Walsh has already said he doesn't think Rudolph is even considering us anymore.

Let me repeat....RUDOLPH'S HEAD COACH AND UM ALUM DOES NOT THINK HE IS EVEN CONSIDERING US.

And yet you got people chalking him up as a Cane on here.

It is a homerish statement to say that Yearby is a better prospect than Cook or Sony.

A true picture of Miami recruiting shows okay recruiting but too many misses on the elite south Florida kids, and we'll be talking about talent deficiencies in the future because of it.

No recruiting service anywhere would say that Yearby is better than Sony or Cook. WE've recruited Sony since he was in 8th grade. We've been desperate for Cook. So you can say that, but nobody else is.

A true picture of Miami recruiting shows okay recruiting but too many misses on the elite south Florida kids, and we'll be talking about talent deficiencies in the future because of it.

Actually, Scout and ESPN have Yearby ahead of Cook as far as recruiting services go. So there is that.

I guess we will just disagree about too many misses. Especially with this incoming class. Miami has snagged most of the top talent in S. Fla. that it wanted this year, just look at the commitment list. I would agree about more misses in years prior to this one but that also must take into account a certain level of uncertainty about the program due to the NCAA situation.

I think this year and going forward we will see just how good of a recruiter Golden and staff truly are. I think so far so good, some misses this year but a consensus top 5 type class that addresses major needs is excellent in my opinion.
