It’s over, but I respect Diaz’ heart

You do realize golden didn’t fire a single coach right?

What’s that tell you
It tells me that Golden was a stubborn idiot that refused to make changes. Don’t know if he just didn’t care or was lazy. Probably both. In fairness to Golden, he did have a handful of coordinators and position coaches move on to the NFL or better coaching positions with other colleges.

With regards to making changes, Diaz > Golden. In regards to all other aspects of coaching, Golden > Diaz. Not saying Golden was good. He still grades as F, Diaz is an F- if that tells you anything about both those frauds.

The only guys who went to NFL were Fisch who sucked so bad he got fired within a year and Brennan Carrol who got hired by pops

Be a cheeseburger speech, at the time, made Golden the WOAT coach.

Then Manny came along and started awarding spirit points and awarding playing time for cheering on your teammates on the sideline.

Diaz is far worse than Golden and I didn’t think something could be remotely possible

At the end of the day Manny has adjusted and tried to get things in order. I don't pretend to know more about what goes on under the hood of a football team than any head coach but I do know what a good football team looks like. Some of the stuff he initially misses indicates that he's still years away in his development, maybe like 3 or 4. Just basic team management ****.

I think that over time if given more opportunities, Manny will eventually figure out how to create a culture that will win football games. He's not going to do it here though. The fans feel like they've waited long enough. And they(we) aren't wrong.

Down vote this, clown on it. Diaz is done at Miami, but I still carry respect for him. He identified most of the issues that plagued this program. Took us from a 3-4 to a 4-3 to a pro to a spread. LRicht gave him a lot of credit with growing the program.

**** didn’t work out with Diaz and he’s responsible for that, but the guy tried and he loves this program. He’s not a golden. Guy was fully Invested, this was the top of the mountain for him.

I’m not going to kick a guy while he is down. A lot of
People will be bias, but this is the “best” I’ve felt about things in a long time.

I’ll die on this hill. Richt > Diaz > cooker > golden > Shannon.

I wanted Diaz to be the guy so bad
Manny sucks! Identify and implement are 2 different things. We need a leader who can take the vision to the next step! Manny was over his head!

Agreed. It’s not like Golden’s assistants were being plucked by the NFL left and right. I was just pointing out there was turnover on his coaching staff, despite the fact he never fired anybody. Majority of those coaches that moved on took a promotion at the time of change (didn’t necessarily work out for all of them). Don’t think any of Diaz’s assistant coaches that he has fired have taken a promotion anywhere. They have all down graded

I want Manny gone as much as I want ice cream in the summertime.

I thought I wouldn't care about this last game .....But I did.

This one hurt because the players didn't fold, pulled it together, and never gave up.

A better coached team would have won ......but that's not what we have.

It's not the players fault. You play with the hand you're dealt. I hope this puts an end to those who said that the players don't care.

The players efforts makes it so much clearer that THE PLAYERS DESERVE BETTER, THE PROGRAM DESERVES BETTER, THE FANS DESERVE BETTER.

We are letting them down and doing them and ourselves a great disservice by sending them out to play with these subpar coaches.

Good comeback, strong 2nd half effort, showed plenty of heart Canes... I salute you.

As for the coaches a BIG
.
You can't leave fast enough for me

OP makes a point. Golden was the worst coach we had. He flat out refused to accept that his defense was the problem. Manny knew what the problems are, he just doesn't have the experience to know how to change it

Stubbornness =/= lack of coaching

Golden produced a much better product than what we are seeing now and despite his stubbornness on that side of the ball, we still didn't have any performances as atrocious as UNC was last year nor we were made a national joke in regards to our tackling weekly. Again, identifying issues but not implementing a good product doesnt mean Manny is coaching worth a fvck. I dont understand why that is so difficult for some of ya’ll to grasp ...

I mean, what does it say that he identified these problems and we are still so bad? What does that say about his COACHING?
