Is Cook a better prospect than Duke?

In the 40, that would have been a real close one. Duke seemed a little faster in his first year at Miami compared to his second year. Just speculation since he gained a few pounds of muscle.
why do people say cook is faster then duke? link or stfu

Because Cook doesn't get caught from behind

same point in their careers duke vs cook in a 40 i take duke

I'll take Dalvin. Duke would be close though.

Didn't see Duke get caught from behind in his 4 playoff games either. I did see him out run other Div one DB's trying to catch him while diving in the endzone though.. That being said, I think Cook is a half step faster in a straight line race.

Duke didnt start getting caught from behind till this year when he loss some of his speed.

I give Duke the slight edge. Cool is bigger and a tad faster at the same stage. People forget that Duke played both ways in HS too up until his senior year. He was a **** good CB and ESPN guys even said he would be a 5 star on their site at CB. Duke also has something that not many NFL players have and that is a lethal stuff arm. He does pack size but he was still one or the top backs in yards after contact this year. Both have Elite acceleration but Duke's vision Abd cutting ability is better. Also Duke doesnt lose speed in and out of cuts. Cook does look faster and would carry more weight better (not lose speed). I still think Duke was used wrong this year. We did not get him out in space enough. Only caught 4 passes. Coley has to fix that.

DUKE...If Barry Sanders and CJ spiller where coming out of high school at the same time most people would be begging for CJ
Speed is one thing but the most important thing about being a RB is your vision and footwork and Duke is the best outta S.Fla at both in a long time
No disrespect to Cook though

Just going by hype on this board, it seems like Cook is pretty clearly the better prospect between he and Yearby. Is this the case?

From reading all the articles on both Duke and Cook, I thought Cook was a much superior athlete as well. However after I checked their results from the Opening which is a good comparison of what type of athlete they were at the same age, this is what I found: Cook is bigger and taller but Duke is the better athlete. Yearby’s measurable are identical to Duke but he is not quite the athlete.

i covet cook's frame after watching duke get crushed in between the tackles and even by some open field tackles. cook just looks like a more solid physical specimen. yearby however has freakish feet from what i have seen.

College game is far diffrent from high school. Duke proved he could produce at the highest level of college football. Before Cook is better than Duke don't you think he should atleast play a game? Don't care about potential, Kyle Wright was supposed to be the second coming of Jesus for us and look how that turned out.

I would not give Cook the edge over Duke until he is part of the family. I will ride with the our current elite RB and will only reconsider once he Cook commits to the U. Until his commitment is confirmed, Duke >> Cook & Yearby >> Cook.

Berrios is a bit underrated. He'll play meaningful minutes from the first game.

And how can you say Cook is faster when Duke ran a faster 40? This thread sucks, I want Duke Yearby, Cook and Crawford all on the field!!

Not sure if Cook is better, but it is interesting that Yearby has been the #1 TB on the team during their careers; Duke was the starter for most or all of his time at Norland (not sure if he started in his first couple years in HS).

If Cook is so much better than Yearby, for example, then why doesn't he start on his own team?

Been wondering about this.
