Tears Irish Tears

I have to rant on this topic.

These domer idiots keep preaching that they were not the same team as they were in August and CJ Carr was a different quarterback.

One question for these people, What team in the history of football would not "get better" as the season went on when you schedule your only two difficult games to start the season?

These idiots think because THEY CHOSE to start a freshman quarterback, lost, lost again, and then beat up on awful teams, they're entitled to the CFP over a team THEY LOST TO?

The entitlement from the ND fanbase is so absurd on so many levels. I acknowledge they're a good team but I'd truly love nothing more than to beat their a$$ in South Bend and see what excuses they come up with.

Let’s not forget that they told us that freshman QB was better than Beck last summer.

They legitimately believe they would have won the title too which is crazy. All that’s based on losing to us and A&M and beating the bottom of the barrel acc teams + Navy.

I’ve never seen a fanbase be so proud of games they lost as their main argument to be in the playoffs.

Their schedule is even easier this year too. If they lose 2 games they should be unranked.

Read between the lines.

Brooks points out that he loses his 2 1st round backs and will now be the offensive focus.

Also points out he no longer has Fields, who is replacing him? OSU rejects with minimal snaps/production (guys who couldn't beat out Brandon Innis) or RSFR with elite bloodlines who failed to do anything special last year in limited reps against mostly trash teams. None of which possess Fields size, save Quincy Porter at 6'4''

Carr has Greathouse and Faison coming back. Carr lost his two big targets for 5050 balls in Fields and Raridon. Both of those players were proven dudes with stats coming into last season. The talent around him is poised to be drastically reduced (unless someone emerges) compared to last season. Greathouse was injured last season, but they got strong production out of his replacement. Still Greathouse is presumably an upgrade at that position, but I'm not convinced he is a true gamebreaker for them. We handled him last season, but he likely was dealing with a hammy issue when we played them. Faison is a capable slot and nothing more. They have another big white boy at TE and Ty Washington but neither did a whole lot for them last season.

In order for them to be close to what they were last season offensively they need lesser talented and/or unproven players to step up at RB TE and BIG X.

That is a lot.

I expect him to have a massive sophomore slump, and the tears are going to be glorious

The argument they got better and that supersedes the losses is bulls***. They lost to Miami, they lost to A&M and then, in their 8th game of the season, they found themselves up 18-10 in the 4th quarter against 2-10 Boston College. Boston College had the ball on Notre Dame's 20 yard line, 1st and 5, with a chance to tie the game and they threw an INT.

-Beat them head to head
-Beat the other team they lost to in their own stadium
-Beat the team they lost to in the national championship
-Beat every other similar opponent by more, except for one

Notre Dame: "Man, they got lucky"

That's the mindset I'm talking about. What you should be saying is, "we need to get better", because if you truly think it was a fluke then your culture is f***ed.
This ****' is leaking with excuses

Carr basically has Greathouse and Faison who are solid CJ Daniels level players. Lost his best deep threat in Pauling and his two big targets in Fields and Raridon. Don’t forget the part about how Miami performs in November in the cold!

Just like how we did in Pitt last year.

Are those supposed to be Miami Hurricanes colors on that little Leprecunt? We live so rent free in the Notre Dame team’s head. Probably their fans too if I had to guess. Entitled is putting it mildly. We beat them head to head and had the same record and they expected to be chosen over us. 🤦🏻‍♂️

That's some accurate, hilarious material right there!

No need to make this any more difficult than it is:

Core Selection Factors
To separate otherwise comparable teams, the committee heavily relies on several primary on-field metrics:

  • Strength of Schedule (SOS): Evaluates the difficulty of the opponents faced throughout the regular season.
  • Head-to-Head Results: Used directly to measure comparable teams if they played each other.
  • Common Opponents: Evaluates how each team performed against the same adversaries.
  • Conference Championships Won: Factored in when weighing teams for the field and bracket seeding.
  • Other Relevant Factors: Includes the unavailability of key players or coaches that affected performance during the season or may impact postseason availability.

I was watching Locked On Canes and Dono mentioned we will play ND three times at their place, starting next season. Is this true and how can they schedule 3 games, 3 seasons in a row with us going to their place?
I hope this is not true.

Probably tv, NBC can only televise ND home games, tho Comcast did announce they dumped NBC and that will trigger alot of things because of the heavy cost of sports rights

It is certainly true, along with 12th rank or higher finish giving them a CFP spot. Thank our ACC commish for giving them more to do less with.
