I'll be that guy - Jobe and Sean Taylor

He ran a 4.41 low at the combine at 230 lbs. For a guy that really didn't "train" in the traditional sense, that's pretty ****ing amazing. He was the opposite of a workout warrior. Pure ability.

People just need to stop comparing anyone to him.
He ran a 4.51 at the combine.

His low was a 4.41 you fvking douche guzzler

Quit being a d*ckhead you dumb b*tch...

"Taylor officially ran a 4.51 at the NFL combine, but had also been clocked around the 4.4 range, which is insane for a guy his size."

He officially ran a 4.51. I'm sure Coach Swasey clocked him lower than that on his hand time. Regardless he was fast af to be that big

Derrick Smith has the stature and potential to grow into his frame and look comparable in stature to Taylor but he'll never be as fast at that size as Taylor was. I also just watched a video of him benching 400 pounds.. he's about to blow up in a college weight room. He also has a basis for a lot of Taylor's traits such as high pointing the ball, the long stride, ability to just run through guys.

Very raw but very gifted and is younger than Jobe I'm pretty sure. I like his ceiling a lot. Got a long way to go but I'm excited for his future. His development will show how good Banda is as a coach.

To make things clear I'm not comparing him to Taylor.. there may never be another. But I think he can bring a similar presence in our secondary.. a poor mans Taylor if you wish

Jobe isn't that good. Closet thing I've seen to ST26 is Derwin James.

Plays nothing like him in coverage..... not even close to being a ballhawk like shawn. Physically maybe but Derwin gets lost in coverage

"Safety Sean Taylor cut short his workout at the University of Miami's pro day because of a sore hamstring, dropping his draft stock with a few clubs, but ran a 4.5-second 40 while ailing and remains a strong candidate to go to the Washington Redskins with the draft's fifth overall selection."

You wanna know who the next Sean Taylor is...

NO ONE!!!

There's only one & there will ever only be one... He's the most naturally gifted athlete to ever play the position, he's literally what you would dream up as the Perfect FS.

God didn't make more than one of those, Sean Taylor is the first, last & only that will ever be like him.

Even Ed Reed as great as he was, wasn't as naturally gifted as Taylor was & Reed imo is the best Safety in NFL history.

Y'all act like Sean Taylor was some of type Olympic track runner. He was fast for his size but he didn't have elite speed either. He ran a 4.51 40.. Taylor was a great overall player and was physically gifted. Jobe is physically gifted as well and definitely has a nice size and speed combo as well. You can say his game may resemble sean's alittle I can see that. Another safety who resembles Sean Taylor's game hitting wise is kam chancellor
Comparing Sean Taylor to Kam Chancellor, directly, misses a number of elite traits Sean had that Kam only wishes he could have. Again, Kam would need the range of Earl Thomas to begin getting to the spots Sean Taylor would get to consistently.

40 speed is not the only thing to consider. You have coordination, short area and balance. All are more important for a Safety. And, with respect to Sean, you had to see it to believe it. He was a LB who could play Corner.

Again I said hitting ability only and never mentioned his coverage abilities because it's no where close to shawns in that regard ...

I'd hate to see your least favorite Hurricane the way you're shaming Sean and desecrating his memory in this thread.
