If you want Butch, why wouldn't you want Larry Fedora?

Why would you hire a guy (Butch) who you know is an inferior HC to a division rival (Fedora)? They both coached at the same program, and Fedora has already surpassed Butch's best season. And he still has 4 games left to play.
 
So put it down. We now have guys saying we should hire Larry Fedora as the next UM coach.

Mark Dantonio's record at Michigan State runs circles around Nick Saban's record at Michigan State, therefore Dantonio is a better coach.

You're missing the sarcasm.

Most of this is to counter the verbal fellating of Butch Davis making him sound like he's Urban or Saban.

Recruiting is an underrated strength of Fedora's. His team is loaded with stud players, and he recruited that roster under a constant cloud of investigations. According to Butch, there were at least 10 investigations at UNC. Not to mention, there were scholarship reductions and other penalties handed down with the NCAA still to this date looming over that program.

Nothing was "taken" from Butch. Butch hired a known scalawag. A dirty scoundrel. That filthy bag man wound up acting in conformity with the character he had when Butch hired him, and as a result, players got gifts and got suspended. It was certainly foreseeable that Black Santa would do something against the rules.

He could be a better HC. I'm not one who thinks Saban is infallible. I'd love to see what Dantonio could do at a major marquee program.
 
And Gundy has a better record than Jimmy Johnson at OK St.

And Dantonio has a better record than Saban at MSU

And Coker had a better record than Davis and Schnell at Miami

Coker also had a better record than everyone for 2 years

And Strong and Petrino had better recrods than Schnell at Louisville

etc....

No, he IS a better coach since we have records to compare at the exact same school. Same thing with Pat Jones. Dude went 10-2 at Oklahoma State three times. The potato before him could only get to 8-4. Therefore, why would you ever hire Jimmy Johnson over Pat Jones?

Did you watch the game? UNC dominated that game. Williams threw the ball directly to defenders in the endzone twice. Missed wide open TDs on short passes.

Yeah, he didn't want give the ball to hood when he averaging 10 YPC and completely forgot about him at the end of the game.

At Miami that's the fault of the head coach and the OC. At North Carolina the coach was a victim of poor play by his quarterback.
 
Butch just said this morning that about 8 of those UNC players are his. Fedora is winning with Butch's players.

Yes, yes it is. The only teams they've beaten this season are Pitt, Duke and Miami. Not exactly much to talk about there. Lost to USCe, who has turned out to be terrible.
