Donations wise it's probably a push. All schools raise money, and yes Miami has great academics...it's always had great academics, but it also was incredibly good at both.

Look at what Stanford did last night to UCLA...you can be savage on the football field and be an incredible at academics...Even Duke who is notorious for basketball excellence is actually doing better than us.... DUKE IS BETTER AT FOOTBALL than UM... DUKE.

So that excuse of oh well you have to be an academic school or be bad at football is a total myth. Nobody looks at Stanford and says...Wow what a bunch of thugs...

I would really be surprised if they are a push. Miami received over 50 million from just one family and has raised over 1.6 billion (thats a B) with its Momentum2 campaign.

And your point about Duke and Stanford is a spot on example. Now compare their image to that of Miami. See the difference? It can be done but Miami has a lot of erasing to do to change their image and that's the problem. They cant keep taking steps backwards if they are ever going to get there and right now its way off.
 
Anybody that Luther Campbell suggests after he mentions Butch in an effort to legitimize his other picks.

We have become the Oakland Raiders. Once respected and feared and always in he super bowl disscussion now a laughing stock who can't attract high visibility free agents or coaches. From 1983 to present for us is like 1973 to present for them. Our BOT is Al Davis. Except Davies actually cared.

Yall Playing.... Tommy Tuberville..... he has strong UM ties, he was a finalist along with Golden when he got hired...wouldn't surprisingly me one bit if they gauged his interest.... also Mike Stoops..he would bolt Kentucky for Miami...

Especially Kiffin. If Christobal was hired, I would make the argument that if the reason Butch Davis was not considered because of leaving in 2000, than why should Christobal be considered after leaving in six weeks?
