I'd hate to think we threw the season away........

Well here is something to think about too. Regardless of who the **** we were playing Malik is a wildly inaccurate passer. At least with N’kosi nearly every play has a chance and his passing skills are far better than Rosiers so yeah that could’ve had a significant impact on the game. The offense just shines brighter with Perry in the game and LSU’s coaches even said before the game that they knew Rosiers intermediate passing game was non existent which in turn is what let them stack the box and dare us to pass

You can also take the exact opposite side of that argument - that Perry gets teed off on by the LSU defense, destroys his confidence, and is never the same guy.

Don't think that's possible? Ask ND how Wimbush has looked since his game at Hard Rock last season.

Exactly my thought all along. I think Richt has handled this beautifully. It's one thing to start a freshmen qb in the first game it's another to do it against a beast defense in supposedly the grandest of all NFL stadiums on prime time.

agree we needed that lsu game,no one cant tell me that if we had Perry it would be the same type of game I disagree a million times.

But for all you know, Perry wouldn’t have started taking this seriously without the susupension. His maturity was in question before hand but all of a sudden (after a suspension) coaches started talking about how he’s become more mature and started really putting in time to study.

None of us know. That suspension might have saved our season.

By trying to prove some weak *** point to Perry by suspending him for LSU.

Kid should have played every single snap at QB1 this season.
There's a high probability that LSU decision is gonna come back to haunt us guaranteed.
There are ways to discipline a kid without throwing your whole season down the toilet and ******* all the other players on the rooster and the fans to boot!

This was a sad case of Mork Rich throwing the baby out with the bath water.
Cutting off his nose to spite his face.
Probably going to end up hoisted by his own petard.

You are the master of posting things so painfully stupid that sub-morons feel better about their intellectual prowess.

Who knows? Maybe it’ll be short term pain, but long term gain. Only time will tell if Richts’ consequence on Kosi, and witnessed by the rest of the team, will ultimately be effective. If Richt doesn’t make the consequence sting, maybe Kosi screws up worse and really does himself and the team in. Months or even years from now Kosi might look back and say being benched was one of the best things that ever happened to him.

We're 5 games into the season and we're 4-1. We lost to LSU and there's a few speculating that IF Perry starts the LSU game, we win. Seriously?!

Those same few are also speculating after 5 games, that there's no path to the playoffs for us because we lost to the #8 team in the country.

What does all this speculation accomplish? Not a **** thing.

Oh, we're back to the "everyone hates Miami" schtick even though we got as high as #2 last year.

We got to #2 despite everybody in America knowing that we had serious flaws. Literally everybody knew we needed luck to win a few of our games, yet they still voted us #2.

Butch Davis would have figured out a way for Perry to play...

Also, that's not how it works. You don't get to throw out part of the game, good or bad and it's moronic to pretend you do.

Exactly and if you do who says the offense doesn’t score more? Who says they don’t play better in the 3rd quarter without the defensive touchdowns? Even Richt says he slowed things down because of the score and it negatively effected the offense.

If you take out one part of the game it changes everything

It's not unusual on this forum for someone to claim player X was unfairly treated but rare to read that player X was stupid to break the rules. It's tradition to posit that the QB not playing is better.

What poster above wrote about Wimbush echo my thoughts.

He hasn’t been the same world beater since he met the 305 Defense. It was far, far better for the Canes existing flaws against a good team like LSU to be exposed so the staff could look at them on film than for a promising young quarterback to get mugged like Kaaya got mugged against Louisville.

Stupid effing Golden.

All things in their good time. Perry has to work out his tendency to ball into coverage and eat the INT. Other than that, promising young man. I think he is what Golden thought Kaaya could have become, but never really was.

Two things that are both very likely true: Perry almost certainly gives us a better chance to beat LSU - but if we run the table from here we’ll be in the playoff anyway.
