…but if you’re upset after emasculating Napier and Norvell, beating our three biggest rivals, and sitting as possibly the #1 team in the country, you need a new hobby.

Yes, there is stuff to clean up during the bye week. We didn’t play well or coach well to end the game.

But if anybody is “sickened” or any other absurd emotions I’ve read on here, pop in a tape of the 2021 Alabama game.

A lot has changed. We’re the boss now. Enjoy it.

Near the end of the game, Kirk and Chris mentioned Cristobal‘s record as a head coach versus ranked opponent at opponent stadiums and he was like 1-6.

Miami, as a program since 2005, had a terrible record against ranked opponents when away.

People were complaining on grassy about the 2001/2002 teams all the time throughout the season.
Truth. I remember just after the Fiasco Bowl, a thread where mopes were saying that they were happy Dorsey played his last game, because now we could get a QB with a stronger arm.

You cant make up how miserable and clueless some “fans” are.

Again, it's not about other teams. It's about the potential of this team. I don't give a s*** about other teams. You can see how great we can be. And people are mad that we're squandering an amazing team.
Not watching other teams forces you into unrealistic expectations about your own team. You have no idea what college football actually looks like, so you expect the 1972 Dolphins.

I don't think asking for your team to be disciplined and not commit 130 yards in penalties is being unrealistic.

Peek outside this board. Everybody thinks we are either the best or on the shortest list.
I watched the cover3 podcast. David pollack. On3. And another last night. All said they wouldn’t argue against Miami being number 1.

They also all didn’t care about the 4th quarter. Game was over. Miami went conservative and a shel coverage.

The outside perception doesn’t align with the fanbase

The worst thing Norvell could’ve done during that 17 play death march, is take five minutes off of the game clock. 8 minutes became 3.

Cam would've told Dawson to go take a bathroom break and let me handle this. I understand trying to close a game by running it out, it just seems our team doesn't perform well when it shifts from all out aggression to playing more conservative. Mario and all our coaches are full go guys. We probably should just stay aggressive. The D is very noticeable, as soon as we drop back into more off zone, we drop in performance.
You could see CB getting pretty frustrated in the 4th once the foot was taken off the gas.

4th quarter counts too. We’re lucky they ran out of time.
Except it isn't luck that they ran out of time.

They ran out of time because we ran the ball to keep the clock moving. They ran out of time because they were forced to take long, slow drives to score.

I am not crazy about the conservative play either but let's not pretend that it didn't work as intended.

You know what could have given them enough time to complete the comeback? A few more incomplete passes. Chunk over-the-top plays. An untimely turnover.

Continuing to play aggressively has its risks as well. The problem with a place like this is you all would have been in here roasting Mario if any of those things had happened as well.

In fact, Herbstreit pointed out that we only took a minute off the clock on one drive in the 4th quarter because of a stupid incomplete pass.

Agreed but that isn't an accident. That was the defense that everyone was complaining about. That is what we forced them to do. We took away the explosive plays at the risk of a long sustained drive. Even then, it took 3 freaking fourth downs to do it. Time was not on their side.
