I know, I know another Dalvin Cook thread

I want Cook here as much as anybody and I will pray that the staff does whatever they can to get him but we got another 5* rb here and on the same team that doesnt get nearly enough attention it's not fair to him

it ain't over for Cook although it seems like it right now. Golden still has an in-home visit and he's going to bring Cook's older brother decked out in Cane Gear too. He will feel the pressure one way or another.

Yep, his brother and two teammates in his ear, Roland Smith's the new coach at Central, it's been said before, but way too many factors working in UM's favor to write him off. Recruit him relentlessly until signing day. Even after Big Snitch signed with FSU last year, it felt good knowing our staff did everything humanly possible to recruit him (legally at least). As long as they take this same approach with Cook, I refuse to believe his recruitment is over until pen meets paper.

thats the thing...theres just so many factors working in our favor...

Man just fork Cook and don't get ya hopes up. If he flips it will be a happy surprise, if it doesn't, "Yea?"

It's my understanding that a local five star runningback from out here in the San Francisco east bay named Joe Mixon is going to commit to ufelony within the next month or so. I got a few texts from friends saying that he does the gator chomp after scoring TDs.

If Cook is going to uf because he believes that he will walk in be handed the starting spot, Im wondering if this would be a factor for him. Random thought.

There is a rather large segment of our fan base that strikes me as the type to still harp over their ex girlfriend after she dumped them.

Dalvin Cook is a Miami area athlete with a Miami scholarship offer, with teammates going to the school, with a brother that goes to the school. Everything is lined up for him to be a Hurricane.

He CHOSE the Florida Gators over the Miami Hurricanes. Move on, folks.

He chose the Clemson Tigers over the Florida Gators and the Miami Hurricanes. Then he changed his mind.

I won't move on until our coaches move on.

Mixon is a taller version of Cook and maybe a better rb. Trust if he was in Florida we'd be drooling over him too so this is a guy that is intimidating

I think Mixon is the #2 RB just behind Fournette. ****, **** good but I heard that in the end it will be Cal for him.

Maybe it is but if he commits to UF then that's Cooks replacement if anything happens and let me be real Mixon is more useful now and in the future that kid is a monster

I think the addition of Brandon Powell symbolizes the staff has realized life without Dalvin.

It's one thing for him to choose Clemson; out of state, different atmosphere, explosive offense that can showcase his talents. But Florida? Unacceptable. It's as unacceptable as Miami fans clamoring to hope that he'll change his mind, when in reality his decision to be a 'Cane should be a simple one.

If you can't be with the one you love (Cook), love the one you're with (Yearby, Powell. Guys who are excellent players in their own right and WANT to be 'Canes). They don't deserved to be put on the back burner for local products that decided that they would rather go play for a hated rival.

Holding out hope is cool, I suppose. At least wait for Cook to decommit form Florida, which there doesn't appear to be signs of such a thing.

If UM had Sony and Yearby they'd still go after Cook so Powell committing means nun for Cook

I wish Arkansas had this mentality. Alex Collins would be a Cane. You stay on the most talented prospects no matter what. You may not flip them, but you go down swinging

because he is the best player in South Florida.

Yea?

Yep.

:fistbump: funny how people's opinions did 180s/360s once Yearby committed to UM and Cook and Sony decided to verbally commit to Uf and uga. Before that occurred MULTIPLE POSTERS said Cook AND Michel where on. Different level both physically and skill wise. Now that Michel and Cook commit somewhere else they aren't on that same level anymore? Lol what happened. Go back into those threads and see what people where writing about Yearby at he time.

because he is the best player in South Florida.

Yea?

Yep.

To me there's a big group of elite players right now. Cook is right there but I'm hesitant to call him the best just yet.

Don't get me wrong, he definitely has the talent. Then again when you say "best" some people mean different things. Take a kid like Isaiah McKenzie. He might be the "best" high school player right now but not getting enough love because people don't think he will translate as well.

Splitting hairs though because tthe area is ******* loaded. Must be a fun time to he a high school football fan down there.

He's elite.

I just don't give a **** until he starts showing serious interest.
