How can we compete with this?

I gotta think there is a point of diminishing returns in terms of facilities. At some point, the amenities just become wallpaper. Besides, don't the kids who take their game seriously have other things on their checklist ahead of facilities?

What we have now seems to be more than acceptable, and UMs selling points never included buildings anyway.

Their football only facility(barbershop, lockeroom, slide, dining table, lounge area, basketball court and Other things will cost 51 million meanwhile miamis indoor practice facility will cost 34 million which includes a new weight room, coaching offices and will be a big upgrade for our football team.If shalala would have pushed facility upgrades in particular the ipf years ago when UM was rolling in money in the early 2000s or in the past decade when the school raised all of that money for the momentum campaign we wouldn't have to worry about building the ipf. However that's miamis most needed addition at this point. Miami does have some advantages over a bunch of the other schools including the fact that it's in a beautiful campus area. On top of that we the Hecht center is being updated, schwartz center opened a couple years ago, the new state of the art lennar foundation medical hospital just opened a few weeks ago and it's aesthetically pleasing to campus visitors. Miami is also about to undergo a 100 Million student housing renovation when that proposal past to have state of the art dorms. I'm sure we are going to be hearing more about upgrades pretty soon. With the acc bowl payout, adidas money coming in and other donations miami should be in the position to add some more things fairly soon here

Miami has cash, they recently just started to spend it... Shalala is no longer here anymore the money is being spent

Miami has money? Well sure, but it's all relative. We have some nice contributors. But we simply do not have the money of Bama, or Clemson, or at least half of the SEC teams, or OSU or Michigan, or probably another 10-12 teams. If it was just about money we might not make the top 30. Thank goodness being great and a tradition is so much more.

True but this administration is more than ever committed to spending money on football. We are paying top dollar for a number of the assistants we got. **** the ipf will be the second most expensive ipf in football after marylands whose ipf is included as an overall complex

These types of upgrades make recruiting very difficult for schools without the cash or schools not willing to spend it. President Trollela going cheap for 10 + years almost killed us.

We need our IPF to be build like yesterday.
hahahahahhaha spoken like someone who has zero fun. let me tell you about every other **** college football town in America… they are NOT MIAMI! **** them lol they can keep the putt putt and ping pong. i'd rather put a gun in my mouth than spend the best years of my life thinking that's where i go to have fun. hahahahaha Miami is HEAVEN if you like to LIV! Miami and some parts of Cali… the best. That's why people who can afford to be anywhere, choose these places to party and live. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-veTvuvjwYE

Man there aint **** to do at Clemson, thats why they have to have all those amenities for the players.

it landed them a whopping 14 recruits this year with a national title

That's all they had available. Clemson only had 8 seniors, 4 juniors declared for the draft and 2 transferring...

Niqqas act like only Miami got girls lol. If that was the deciding factor, FIU would have the best team in the country. Colombian mamis out here off the chain.

Look at this soft baby whining whining about "oh no, how can we compete"

Thank lawds our players aren't this soft. We have a subset of fans, the weak ones, that do nothing but suck on Bama, the SEC, and other facilities while whining about our facilities.

Our facilities, right now are serviceable, and once the IPF is completed will be more than enough to either help, or not hurt, in recruiting. The rest is just fluff and irrelevant. Fountains and marble toilets are nice but won't sway a recruit in the slightest, as long as your facilities are somewhat comparable. With the IPF, we'll compare favorably.

People acting like South Beach is what the players are all about. Small fish in a big pond, that's all they would be there....never mind the money needed aspect.

Miami is vastly different than the traditional college atmosphere. It isn't for everyone, but for those it is they call it home. Start winning, that's how we competed with the big dogs of the world and the way we'll have to do it again.

I assume night life does play a factor somewhat. And yes, the chances these guys are regulars in South Beach is slim to none, the truth is the scene in every college city resembles the grimy **** infested Tallanasty scene. Which makes places like the Grove and Brickell (places these guys will most likely go to) look like VIP tables at LIV. So the city of Miami does have its recruiting advantages.

As far as a couple of fancy looking bowling lanes and a firepit to make smores, that **** is quickly forgotten. State schools spending vast amounts of money on needless ****... what else is new.

That fact that our IPF still hast broken ground yet is annoying
It's only like 2 million dollars away from being fully funded. Probably less than that

Why does it have to be fully funded? Serious questions.

I assume 2 million dollars can be raised by the time we're done or even half into building.

Probably because UM fans are unreliable. It took us this long to build an IPF to begin with. It's embarrassing.

Correct lol but putt putt and ping pong don't make kids play for you. They want to win, go pro and have a great time doing it. **** that slide
However, great weather, water and the best night life in America can't be had at almost every other university. Paradise matters

Have you even been to the campus or the more specifically inside the Schwartz Center? It's smaller because space is a premium on campus. Miami doesn't have to take a backseat because it's state of the art. What is missing is the new IPF and what it brings to the table. The new dormitories that they are planning on building are state of the art.
